We absolutely loved our stay. The old town was beautiful, and the hotel buildings had so much charm and character. Our room at Relais Il Mignano was much bigger than we expected, with two bathrooms and a lovely terrace — such a wonderful surprise! The room was cleaned daily and always kept spotless. We also really enjoyed the breakfast served in the main building; it was delicious and the perfect way to start the day. A truly memorable stay! The staff and manager were truly exceptional and provided some of the best service we have ever experienced at a hotel. From the moment we arrived, every interaction made us feel valued and looked after — almost like VIP guests. They were incredibly accommodating with our children, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, including finding toys for us to use in the room and even arranging a beach umbrella for our day at the beach. These thoughtful gestures made such a difference and showed how much they genuinely cared about their guests. The team had the perfect balance of being warm, helpful, and professional without ever being intrusive. Their attention to detail and willingness to help with anything made our stay even more special. We truly cannot thank the staff enough for making our experience so memorable.

Best bed that I've slept in, possibly ever. Lovely shower and toiletries smelled nice. The place was really clean. Lots to choose from for breakfast. Girls serving us for breakfast were very attentive and had good English. The smell of Jasmine at the door and in the entrance was beautiful. Nardo is a lovely town, we strolled there in the morning and evening. Locals out doing their thing. We went to the beach at Santa Maria al Bagno, no more than 15 minutes away by car. Just beautiful, a must visit if you'd like a swim and to relax on the beach. Restaurants beside you. Gallipoli is also worth a visit, again approx. 20 minutes away. All in all, we had a lovely time in Relais Palazzo Vaglio, Nardo and surrounds.

Nardo is a stunning walkable city filled with beautiful architecture that you never tire of. It is easy to get to by train with amenities and restaurants and a relaxed vibe. I would use it as my base to visit Salento, one of the most beautiful cities in Puglia. It is particularly enjoyable to walk around the city as the historical center is mostly car free. The Piazza Salandra is absolutely stunning and has loads of places to sit and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings.

We really enjoyed the slow pace of this beautiful town that came alive at night. We went in off-season and the restaurant that was recommended to us was amazing. The staff the food and the hospitality incredible. Ll Girone near the church was so good!

Nardo is a very pretty small town in Puglia.

Nardo is a very pretty small town in Puglia. The historic centre is a traffic restricted zone, but you can park free outside the zone and walk in in a few minutes. The main square is beautiful, with lovely cafes & restaurants and historic places to visit. Quieter than Lecce and much easier to visit/stay in Nardo. Easy location to drive to the main tourist sites in Puglia.

The Antico Macelleria Fai was a fabulous meat restaurant. La Dispensa Dei Raccomand was also tasty. The city illuminated their architectural gems at night, and it created such a charming atmosphere.

Nardo is a quaint town with many churches and historic sights to see. We unfortunately were there on Easter Monday and 99 percent of the town was closed, so we did not get to experience all it has to offer. One thing I noticed is their local made bread is different than other places in Italy. It’s more dense, hard and thinly sliced. It’s not my favorite. Walking around the historic center, I didn’t get of welcoming to outsiders . As people pass you in the street they don’t say “hello” or greet you. Sometimes they will look at you as if to say, “who are you and what are you doing here”. If you can put that aside, its churches are old and wonderful to see. There are several very nice historic hotels and good restaurants to experience and enjoy.

The location was the best for us.

The location was the best for us. Only a seven minute walk to our friends house. And ten minutes to the city center (from the apartment)inside the castle wall. The food was especially good! Not your usual tourist attraction. Be prepare for the daily "siesta". Most places will be closed for lunch. And reopen around 4pm. Even the streets are empty! But after the Rome Jubilee 2025, Nardo was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind. Thank you Simone, we appreciate your quick responses and checking in on us.

The hotel is STUNNING! Delicious breakfast, wonderful staff and gave us so many brilliant recommendations. Nardo was our favourite town in Puglia. It has the best restaurants, bars and beautiful beaches nearby. It’s much more authentic and less of a tourist trap than other places in Puglia. The Palazzo was beautiful and the staff were all wonderful and helped with everything we needed over watsap. We would love to come back again one day!

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa. The on-site parking was very convenient, and the air conditioning was especially welcome when temperatures reached 38°C - it made sleeping much more comfortable! The historic centre of Nardò is within easy walking distance, and the hosts were lovely and very welcoming. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect . A warm and welcoming stay. The staff was very nice. Very good breakfast. Nardo is a very nice place to visite. Away from mass tourism. The young owner told us about the very interesting history of the old monestry. Thank you so much. It was easy to park the car nearby.
