Loved the unique feel not your typical hotel stay. All the amenities needed. Delicious food at the restaurant(make a reservation) and fresh made breakfast Italian style included. Very peaceful property and lively hosts
The beach was long and plentiful. A fine shingle with a gentle slope into the sea. It was almost empty when we were there in peak season. The parking was free. Unfortunately, It was very windy when we were there so all boat trips were cancelled. Which was a shame because the coastline is best viewed from the sea. However the gentle slope of the beach sheltered us enough from the wind for a relaxing sunbathe. The restaurants were busy. So do some research and plan ahead and book in the morning for the night otherwise you might be walking around for a while queuing and waiting whilst you are hungry.
More rugged than the North, but with the most beautiful beaches and nature in the area. If I return to Sardinia I will spend all my time in the area of Orosei. The city itself is small but have nice restaurants.
Pretty village. Very pleasant to live in. Good traders. Interesting historical center to travel. Very close to the mountain and the sea. On the other hand, park outside on the car parks. Very complicated in the center but being very small it is easy to do on foo
Orosei has quite some things to offer. The marina with the nice, sandy beaches, the beach bars and nice hotels (Anticos Palathos) and restaurants. I went to the ‘Belohorizonte (above the town with fantastic views) and enjoyed nice and fresh seafood.
Orosei is best visited with a car rented from the airport as that gives opportunities to visit the mountains and nearby towns however, the locality was full of interest and enabled enjoyable walks. Restaurants were excellent particularly the traditional foods and all facilities were clean and well maintained which made for a comfortable stay in a beautiful environment. The guided trip to Gallupu was excellent. We shall return soon to Sardinia for longer and promise that we shall spend two weeks next time and will ensure all parts of the island are visited as there is so much of interest.
