Ortisei is fantastic. Such beautiful scenery.
Ortisei is fantastic. Such beautiful scenery. Best to buy the three day lift pass (110E) as it gives you access to so many lifts. In three days can do walks in Seceda, sassa lingo, and Receiva (? Spelling) on each day. Amazing scenery

Ortisei is a great base for exploring the Val Gardena landscape, and has good bus connections to the rest of the area as well as gondolas up to Seceda and Alpe de Suisi and a funicular to Resciesa. The cable way costs can mount up so it’s worth getting a Gardena Card if you are there for a few days of hiking. There are some excellent restaurants in the town, mostly pizzerias and Tyrolean cuisine, but there are a few places like Sanybon providing something different. The town is very pretty and the backdrop of the mountains is also stunning.

Ortisei is the perfect Dolomites town for exploring the surrounding mountains. We had a car, but honestly spent most of our time hiking and cycling around Seiser Alm to the south and Seceda to the north with side trips to Val di Funes and Lago di Braies
Hotel Fortuna is an immaculately clean bed-and-breakfast hotel situated a short walk from the centre of Ortisei (St Ulrich). The property is furnished to a high standard; there is car parking beneath the hotel, up a narrow access road; the staff and proprietor are lovely. This is a great hotel to stay at if you wish to visit the very picturesque village of Ortisei in Val Gardena, but do not wish to pay the (very) high prices of the better-known hotels in the centre of the village.
Perfect - it was one of my best decisions during my trip in Italy. Amazing view, clean and neat facilities, amazing breakfast and dinner (highly recommend to book a half board option. Too good to miss this fantastic Italian course meals) - there are so many great things that I can explain, but the biggest asset of this hotel is the staff. The nice, warm welcoming, supportive, and friendly staff completed my stay in Hotel Ronce. Definitely want to revisit this place :)
The stay was just amazing. The place is above and beyond what we expected. Ortisei is a tourist town with apartments facing the streets with a small, cute balcony. And that's exactly what we got. It is more of an apartment for yourself rather than a hotel with all amenities like kitchen and dining area. We loved it and enjoyed our stay there. The receptionist was also very helpful and recommended and guided us with the tips for travelling and exploring the place.
Location is great, first good shower in italy yet , hot water!! breakfast was everything you need, i travelled alone and hiked all days and came to the hotel just to sleep and shower, for that it worked great
