Super nice town 1h30 from Rome. Good stop on your way from or to Tuscany. A lot of good restaurants. Make sure that you reserve your restaurant a head as it’s always full. The town is close to Pienza, Montepulciano, Todi, Assissi, Spoleto... enjoy!
All the residents that we encountered were so friendly, hard to believe when they are overrun with tourists each day. Of course you must see the duomo, but don’t miss the rest of this amazing place: S. Patrizio’s well, the bell tower, the underground tour, all the ceramic artists shops, hiking the anello trail around the city, choosing from the many wonderful restaurants, walking the medieval part of town. Have a drink and watch the setting sun set the mosaics on the duomo ablaze. What a wonderful place. Find you own best restaurant, it’s hard to make a bad choice! Pick up some porchetta or some truffle sausage to take a taste of Orvieto with you!
This is a beautiful city with interesting museums, artisans, excellent food. And, of course, the Duomo is spectacular! Attending a mass there was delightful so that we could hear the organ soar and delight in the angelic sound of the nuns choir.
Beautiful hilltop city with extraordinary architecture and historical sites. The Duomo was one of the best we saw in Italy. The underground caves are definitely worth seeing. Take a walk along the city wall and get an amazing view of the countryside.
Oriveto was quaint, small cobblestones streets. The food was exceptional. The views amazing. Etruscan caves fascinating. Our B&B helped make this an exceptional experience. I wish we could have stayed longer. Lili and daniel
The combo pass, which includes almost every sight in Orvieto, was a great bargain at 20 euros. The senior one for 17 euros was even a better deal. We did every thing on the list and found them very interesting. The pass also includes a shuttle bus, funicular ride and quite a few discounts at some very good restaurants on the reverse side of the combo brochure.
The location of the bnb is perfect, just nearby the funicular. If you are traveling with a luggage, it's difficult to walk up and down on the cobbled way. The room is the same as the pics shown. But you should be careful if you have a shower in the bathtub, the water will be split and flowing into the bedroom. The hostess is very kind and help us take away the breakfast as we need to catch up the bus to Bagnoregio at 8 a.m.. The croissants are the best breakfast we had in Italy.
Thé location was great. Close to the Duomo and the cute city center. The room was spacious and very clean. The wifi and television worked great. The hostess is wonderful, friendly and helpful. She really wants her guests to enjoy her B&B as well as their time in Orvieto. The room also has a mini fridge. Orvieto has really good restaurants in general and was a wonderful relaxing environment. The breakfast at the Magnolia is your standard continental fare.
Stunning in everyway. The size and grandeur of Palazzo Febei added to the beauty and enjoyment of our visit to Orvieto. A feeling of home, luxury and style. In the middle of Orvieto, location was outstanding, moments walk to everything - Duomo, restaurants, supermarket, shops, funicolare, train station. Ale & Cesare went beyond our expectations in their assistance. Loved Palazzo Febei. Will visit again. A must recommended locations. Perfection
What a great place in a quiet part of the town but still so close to everything. Enzo was the best host we’ve had in Italy. The type of host that would go out of his way to ensure a great stay. He even picked us up and dropped us off at the station. The apartment was very comfortable with a modern touch....and the shower has to be the best ever for weary travellers!
The location is perfect, only minites away from the Duomo. The owner helped me park my car and gave me tips on things to see. The place smelled really nice, all the towers also smelled amazing. I was a bit surprised that it was actually the owners house and he left me alone. Was not what I expected but all in all very good.
The house is beautiful and so authentic! very spacious, clean, with beutiful furniture and lots of art. located at the very center close to everything. coffee machine with capsules was also great for an early coffee. cute terrace watching a peacfull playground and a bit of the duomo. Lovely hosts!!!

The property was centrally located in the hilltop historic town of Orvieto. It was bright, airy and immaculate. It is within ten minutes of the Duomo and “Must See” Museums. The Main Street Of Corso Cavour where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants and gelato.
Great location and amazing appartment with beautiful roof terrace. Stunning view from up there. Daniele was also very nice and we could leave our bags after check-out. Overall one of our favourite places we stayed in during our 2-week trip around Italy.
Beautiful,Peaceful and Classic Italian look. Very lovely family who run the place. Gave us cherries and peaches picked from their gardens when we left! Will tell everybody in Iceland to stay here at this place when going around Italy.
Excellent location, in the heart of the old historic center. Beautiful accomodations and Jasmin is a gracious host. Quiet and peaceful location. To get to the Duomo is a short walk along beautiful streets. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Brilliant location Small simple property . We stayed in the junior suite with a small balcony overlooking the Duomo. Perfectly adéquate for a two night stay in beautiful Orvieto. The couple who own it are helpful and friendly .
It was right in front of the Duomo. Everything was in walking distance! The apartment was well stocked with everything you need. I could have easily stayed here longer. Very comfortable!
Very quaint agreeable room and was an excellent choice to unwind from our trip over to Italy. Excellent location. Quiet. Wished we had stayed longer!
It was the very best ace that we ha e stayed in all of Italy. Fabulous facilities, great staff, and wonderful breakfast and dinner. 5 ☆
This little hotel is right on the piazza with views of the duomo.
David was the most helpful host in three weeks in Italy.
Staying at Hotel La Badia was utterly relaxing. The monastery ruins, courtyards and views from the hotel were breathtaking. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The short drive up to Orvieto was easy.
