The location of the hotel is excellent - close to the centre, which was easily reached by foot, while being outside the "narrow street" areas, making for easy with the car. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The staff were amazing - very friendly and welcoming, and happy to provide helpful tips for exploring the city. All made for a great stay: highly recommended!

FAQs about hotels in Perugia

Undulating Uniqueness

The ancient Etrurian city of Perugia forms a unique and romantic pattern, and is surrounded by green hills. Take the escalators, go up to the Rocca, and admire the panorama of juxtaposed layers of churches and ‘palazzi’ built during thousands of years. Perugia’s Old Town still houses several hotels and restaurants that are centuries old.

The city has a vibrant cultural life and is home to several important institutions, such as the renowned local university, the University for Foreigners, and other institutes. The International Journalism Festival, the Umbria Jazz, and the Eurochocolate Festival are major annual activities. Check the hotel availability in advance if you’re planning to visit Italy and Perugia around those dates.

Don’t miss the remains of the Rocca Paolina fortress and its underground medieval streets. Regarded as one of Italy's best buildings, Palazzo dei Priori encompasses the Collegio del Cambio, Collegio della Mercanzia, and the National Gallery. Trasimeno Lake is 22 km away.

Fontivegge Railway Station is outside the city centre, while San Egidio Airport is 12 km away. Whether you need a 5-star hotel or a historic guest house, check out the deals for Perugia accommodation on Booking.com!

It was friendly, fun with lots of to see and do.

It was friendly, fun with lots of to see and do. It’s an old model town with lots or ornate and beautiful buildings. We happened to be there for a jazz festival so there was so much to see. All different venues of music, and many others in the arts

Fantastically vibrant.

Fantastically vibrant. Absolutely buzzing but civilised and classy. Lots of bars and cafes in the streets. Expensive clothes shops. Its so historic and its all very very old and well preserved. Endless choices of where to eat. we tried different places each night. Very friendly. So fun to explore layers of escalators up and down potentially leading to trains or buses. And a cute little mini metro ride that's like a little roller coaster. Buses are easy. We used a train as well to the nearby lake. Historically incredible in every view. Not to be missed, but you need to pay, for a trip underground from a museum that takes you down to original roman roads still there.

Now in the list of my favourite cities, so different in winter and in summer… in winter - dark and medieval, with streets like labyrinths, in summer - medieval but warm and soft, but both seasons are great to visit it 🥰 Great location to stay and travel to the nearest cities, like Orvieto, Spello, Assisi…

A beautiful city and a must see for anyone visiting Umbria.

A beautiful city and a must see for anyone visiting Umbria. Full of historical interests, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside from the hilltop location. Vibrant and cultural and well positioned for touring. other regions of central Italy. There is in my opinion no better place in Perugia to experience the city than the Sina Brufani Hotel offering luxury and value for money.

It had an old fashioned charm; beautiful Italian decor and is a genuine family run hotel. Very friendly and helpful people. The breakfast was continental with fresh bread and croissants and freshly made coffee, yoghurt and fruit juice. We asked for a room with lots of natural windows and had the top floor room which had lovely views over the rooftops. Perugia is a friendly laid back city, easy to explore and with a great traditional feel mixed in with a young student population. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The hotel is perfect if you are travelling by car. There is underground car parking option available on request, only 2 minutes of walk from the building. The hotel is located right next to the escalators that bring you up to the historic city center of Perugia. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bathroom was exceptional. Breakfast is also good, with a wide variety of sweet and savory options, highly recommended.

This hotel is a good choice for Perugia - not only for chocolate fans! The chocolate theme can be overpowering, particularly the breakfast buffet.
