Pontassieve is an ideal place to stay to escape the hustle and bustle of Florence. With a short train ride to Florence, you get the benefit of having access to Florence without the constant presence of a zillion tourists. It is also a good stepping stone into Bologna and Siena.

The extraordinary property is dated from 1616, aesthetically renovated with an eye for the details, welcoming and comfortable cool in the summer. It has a huge garden flowered with oleander and other mediterranean plants, agaves, figs and pomegranates. The pool is beautifully placed within the garden.
