Simona and her family are by far the best hosts we have had anywhere, very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation is well kitted out and comfortable, could easily stay for a week or two (or longer!). Easy access to the Gran Sasso National Park and the immediate area is very beautiful. We felt we were able to relax completely and were sad to leave. Really hope to visit again some time soon!

A wonderfully renovated property that has a unique character and provides a memorable experience. For international tourists, it really feels like postcard Italy. From the start Antonio was a friendly host who not only greeted and showed me around the premises, but also provided the story behind the history and renovation of the nunnery. A lot of hard work and attention has gone into the restoration. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and well heated. The bed was comfortable. The common lounge and dining areas were welcoming and had everything you need. It’s a great space to meet other guests or take some time out yourself in the lounges. There were cakes and treats, and access to a fully functioning kitchen with everything you need for cooking. The breakfast is ‘self-serve and self-make’ which I liked because no need to worry about start/finish times. The property is slightly away from the town with views over the mountains. the night I was there all the guests were respectful of others and it was so quiet for sleeping. If you have a chance to see inside the church, it’s a great story.

Stopped overnight walking Via Francesco. This 2 bedroom house is set in abeautiful location with outside terrave area overlooking the mountains, taking time to appreciate the steep climb it has taken to get here. Nunzia was a lovely host. She offered dinner on arrival which sadly I had to decline as was meeting other's for dinner I had met on the route. If you are staying with her, ask about this in advance and I am sure she will offer you a deal. The house itself is beautifully laid out and fresh. Would recommend.

We adored this place! When the owners are standing outside to greet you in the rain when you arrive clearly they care. We booked for one night, stayed for two. Would absolutely recommend this facility! We ate there two nights and both those meals and breakfasts were wonderful and plentiful. We were always offered more. We were the only ones there and while it was cold and rainy outside in mid May the fire was always lit beside our table in the dining room and the boiler was turned on to make sure our HUGE room was warm and cozy. This is a beautiful old estate lovingly restored with modern rooms that ooze character and charm. We had a huge balcony (unfortunately we couldn't use it because it rained the whole time!). This family knows hospitality and made us feel every so very appreciated and welcome. Mother's Day is a hard one to be away from home but we felt loved here so we stayed an extra night to help me get through missing my kids. Mama came out of the kitchen and hugged me when we left. We could not have chosen better. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We would absolutely recommend this place and would be honored to stay again.
