Hotel Onda Verde is a few steps from the beach and the cliffs that lead down to the Amalfi Coast in Praiano. This is a great hotel. We were on little planned trip around Napoli and south Italy and booked just 2 nights. We enjoyed the stay so we added two more nights. Location is great, between Positano and the town of Amilfi. We wanted to go to Sentiero degli dei (path of gods) and I recommend walking from this hotel to get most of the walk, ask for handwritten map in the lobby.

The best place to stay when traveling to amalfi coast. You have access to all the places you want (amalfi, ravello, positano, Capri) but you avoid the tourists and crowds. Short travel with bus/car/boat between the cities. We loved the views. Really enjoyed Kasai restaurant. Che bonta was great for pizza and variety.
The location is beautiful and the property offers everything you need for a stay of a night or a week! Parking is a little difficulty...typical for the area but everything is close by, including bus access to surrounding areas. Great hosts with lots of good information and very helpful!
The house in Praiano had all comfort and the location is very nice with a perfect view over the Mediterranean Sea. You had to climb several stairs each day to reach the house, but this was a nice daily work-out. Mr Luca was the local representative of the owner and he was always present when needed, always with a smile and with genuine care. We had our breakfast usually in the house and sometimes also dinner, sitting outside on the terrace. From Praiano it is easy to visit nice places nearby such as Capri and Pompeii; Luca was so kind to help us with the reservations. The house is also very near to the famous Path of Gods.
Praiano is a great base for exploring the whole Amalfi coast - really chilled vibe but still a good selection of local restaurants half the price of Positano. We stayed in the hotel Margherita - local bus stop outside the hotel which brings you into Positano. 500m walk to SITA bus service which brings you on all major routes, all journeys 1.50, Hotel has a shuttle bus that will drop/collect you from the beach or town - always available. Some really great restaurants in Praiano - Il Pino (lovely spot, great views, also offer shuttle home), M'ama restaurant in Hotel Margherita, La Moressa - fab terrace with amazing views, Cafe Mirante - surreal spot offering super fresh cocktails ang nibbles, Criscito for amazing takeaway pizza and cant find the name but its refuge of the fisherman in English for lunch - lovely outdoor garden area over looking the bay.
I have been to Praiano twice already and I would highly recommended - it's a nice little village near Positano and has a lot to offer. I would definitely advice to visit il Pirata and Ristorante Franchino. If you find a nice Hotel around there, you will have access to the beach club, a great seafood resturant and you will be able to rent boats for various tours. It's a little bit easier to find parking than what it would be in Positano, but still would recommend asking your Hotel if they can guarantee parking.
Praiano is a perfect location from which one can explore the Amalfi Coast. Praiano is located just in the middle of it, 10 minutes with the free shuttle to Positano, 14 Km to Amalfi Town and bit more to Ravello. Priano is a beautiful little town, not much to do there, but is genuine, you can walk in Priano but even take a hiking tour. Can visit two nice beaches and restaurants at Via arina di Praia.
Recently updated modern rooms, small in size, but nicely decorated and all the amenities required, including mini fridge, safe, and wardrobe. Best hotel shower with great water pressure, SO important. The sea view is unbearable, best view I’ve ever had from a hotel room in my life. The staff are so friendly and there to help with any questions. Good location between two beaches and many restaurants nearby, including their own restaurant with great food at reasonable prices.
The hotel's location is perfect, and the view from our room was so beautiful. Breakfast was rich and delicious, and the view from our table also contributed to the experience. The room was impressive and very convenient. Pool and beach are awesome, and the nearby restaurant (Il Pirata) was also excellent. It was great for our trips in the Amalfi Drive (Perfectly located between Positano and Amalfi, and the parking space was super helpful).
This place is its people :) The receptionist is kind, helpful and will be there for you with the best advice. The room was massive, amazing view. There's a beautiful beach 10 minutes away, and the coziest restaurant by the sea, Franchino. The breakfast is super filling, and the products super fresh. Positano (and many other places on the Amalfi Coast) are one very comfortable bus away, but again this place is great because of its people.
The views were amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. The rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was nice. Prices were reasonable compared to the rest of the Amalfi Coast. The location was good if you like being away from the busy tourist areas like Positano or Amalfi. The hotel was 1-5 mins walk to several restaurants and little shops. The bus stop is 2-3 mins walk away. The SITA bus to Positano is 10-15 mins ride.
Best feature of this hotel is the location - Marina di Praia bay, a small picturesque bay. The hotel is a few steps from the beach. Seems to be run by a family who were very nice. Accomodation however was pretty basic. We had two rooms, one was decent the other was very small with impossibly tight bathroom and decor was verey basic. Not complaining though because it was priced accordingly in an area where hotel rates are very high.
Praiano
The staff was exceptional - extremely helpful and friendly next door at Tramonte hotel. The views at Tramonte hotel is gorgeous. The location is amazing with views of Amalfi and Positano. It's right in front of the SITA bus stop, so getting to Amalfi & Positano was very convenient. Carmela & Theresa are extremely generous hosts and run a very nice boutique hotel. Totally recommend.
Praiano
Andrea and Antonia have been great hosts and provided us with a lot of local expertise and info that made our stay perfect. The house is immaculate, views to die for, close to the local bus station and praiano downtown is only few minutes away. Praiano is the perfect place to discover the coast and has 2 of the best beaches on the amalfitana and some of the best local restaurants
Nice hotel. Very quiet, scienic, beautiful location but on the main road in Praiano (however only reachable by lots of stairs). We had a triple room and there was enough space for all three of us. The view from our big balcony was stunning. Beds comfy, room clean, breakfast fine and can be eaten outsite on the sea view main bar / restaurant section. Good airco.
Fantastic hotel. Probably the best on Amalfi coast. Thanks to Chiara for her kind assistance in planing our daly trips. Thanks to Bianca and Jean Lucca for their kind service at the restaurant breakfast. Our room was huge. Nice terrace overlooking the sea. Outdoor heated swiming pool. Exellent restaurant for dinner. Can't wait for our next stay.
The location for the hotel is perfect. There is a bus stop right outside that stops all along the coast and it is also walking distance to some gorgeous restaurants, bars and the beach. All the staff are super friendly and are happy to help you with anything. The terrace bar on top of the hotel has some of the best views in Praiano.
The stay at this wonderful hotel was the best in a 3 week journey. The immaculate facilities, wonderful host, food, amenities and personal service were outstanding. We can not say enough about this family run hotel.
Such a beautiful location. Old Italian decor but v clean. Staff are so friendly and the views are unbelievable.definitely get a sea view room. Restaurant is the best we had on our Italy travels. Breakfast is good also.
We had an wonderful stay. The views from the Hotel were amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. The location was close to the area beach and marina.
Praiano
The place was amazing! Beautiful location, lovely interior and incredible balcony with large bubble bath. They even had a comfortable bed, softer than usual in Italy!
The beach area, the views food, and the amazing staff. The Hotel Provided everything you could want from a 4 Star Hotel!!
The rooms where some of the nicest I have seen in Italy

Everything was perfect. The location is truly stunning and I’ve never experienced such luxury. A special mention to the staff who were incredibly helpful and cheery and really made you feel at home. I would come back in a heartbeat.
View across the Amalfi coast and to Positano was truly spectacular. The Service, food and overall presentation of the hotel was exceptional.
Superb location, very service minded staff. We enjoy a lot our stay and will strongly recommend this hotel to everybody.
