Everything about the property was fantastic.
The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and great cappuccinos.
The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony.
The location was perfect. Close enough for day visits to Amalfi and Positano, but far away from the crowds and traffic. There is a small grocery shop right next door and several restaurants within a few minutes walk.
The rooftop is amazing. The views are spectacular. It is a great place for morning coffee, and dinner / drinks in the evening.
The highlight of this property is the family that operates the hotel. They were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived until we checked out. Genuinely kind people who care about their guests.
Hotel Pellegrino enjoys a scenic position in Praiano, on the Amalfi Coast. It offers air-conditioned rooms with sea views, and excellent local cooking.

People. Reliable. Beauty. Removed. How the took care of us. We, collectively, all ask the same repetitive When/What/How type questions and everyone seemed genuinely in tune with this give & take. The raisin filled tiny pastries

Real Review: This is the perfect hotel when you are visiting the Amalfi coast! Everybody has to visit the Amalfi coast at least one time in their life so that they can say that they have done it. But both Positano and Amalfi have become so overrun with tourists as to be unbearable. The streets and alleys of those two towns are literally clogged with rude tourists. Everything costs twice as much as it should which includes restaurant prices and hotel prices.
Located halfway between the towns of Positano and Amalfi is a perfect little town called Priano. Hotel Pino is located there. The hotel has the best possible view of Positano, and is about 3 kilometers away. If you are familiar with the postcard picture view of Positano, that's the view you get from every room and from the pool at Hotel Pino. If you need to go to either Positano or Amalfi, you can take a cab or a bus, or the hotel will schedule a water taxi for you from the beach below the hotel which is the best way to travel. The cost of the hotel is far less than half the cost of a similar accommodation in Positano.
The pool is fabulous and also necessary as it is about 400 steps down to the beach. Within a few 100 yards from the hotel on the main road you will find multiple bars and restaurants and grocery stores and merchandise outlets. There is no shortage of services or places to eat or places for cocktails within an easy 5 minute walk of the hotel.
The staff is attentive, they are professional, they will provide free parking if you arrive with your automobile, and even though we checked in very late in the evening they were happy to provide us with cocktails and open up the swimming pool after hours.
If I were ever going back to the Amalfi coast, I would not search the listings for a different hotel. I would simply book this hotel again without hesitation. Service: Perfect, View: Perfect, Location: Perfect Value: Very Good!

Centrally located on the coast and well serviced by buses(...
Centrally located on the coast and well serviced by buses(forget the timetable!). Good restaurants and bars. Much quieter than Positano but within easy distance. Typical of the area, which is all built on the side of steep hills, roads are narrow and there are no pavements to speak of. It’s all OK once you get used to it!
Che Bonta and Trattoria San Gennaro great local places to eat, Bar del Sole and rooftop bar at Hotel Tramonto del Oro for sundowners. Il Pirata restaurant is fabulous

Our first trip to Italy, and my wife and I enjoyed time through Tuscany to the Amalfi coast, and back to Rome. Praiano turned out the perfect spot for our stay. Just a short water taxi for a daytrip to Positano, and scenic winding drive the next day to a Lemoncello Tasting Tour nearby in the other direction. Plenty of options for villas spread along the coast there, many with excellent waterfront views and right on the water.

Beautiful area (great views, hikes, and restaurants), but be aware that getting around can be difficult. The roads are narrow and chaotic, and parking can be hard to find. So, most people don't recommend driving. However, the public transportation along the coast is not great either. There are a few regular bus routes, but they run infrequently and are usually too full to allow everyone on, so you end up waiting a long time for an empty enough bus to arrive. We walked as much as possible.

Priano is very small, so it is less expensive than the other cities close by. The church and the local neighborhood around were enjoyable. The fine restaurants were very expensive, and the moderate priced restaurants were hit and miss.

We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. We were disappointed that the ferries weren’t operating yet so we didn’t get to Capri but all the more reason to come back again.
Beautiful location on the Amalfi Coast in the small village of Praiano. The Sitasud bus stops right outside the hotel, making it so accessible to the rest of the coastal areas - Positano, Amalfi etc.. breakfast was lovely on the veranda with a breathtaking seaview. Within walking distance of the beach Marina di Praia. We ate dinner one evening here and it was delicious , I would highly the salmon with red pepper seasoning. Definitely get the seaview room, it’s worth every cent!
My friends and I stayed here during a trip to the coast and this was my by far our favorite place to stay (We didn’t want to leave)! Mariana and Omar are AWESOME and the most welcoming and accommodating people! Our hotel room view was so beautiful and our room was clean and very nice. Very close to the path of the Gods hike startpoint and the SITA bus stop to get to Praiano. The breakfast was SO DELICIOUS and Laura was very hospitable while we were eating!
We really liked the location of the hotel, a nice quiet spot away from the business of Positano. The views were incredible and we thought the best of the coast. We loved the beach club and the atmosphere down by the sea, but wish it was open later. We also enjoyed the restaurant down by the beach club. The concierge were very helpful booking trips before our arrival and restaurants during our stay.
All the hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our time at Open gate in Praiano. Close to bus stops for other areas of Praiano also Amalfi and Positano. The restaurant is also amazing with superb views. Great option outside the crazy crowds of Positano.
Wonderful location overlooking the beautiful Praiano. Lovely and quiet boutique hotel with the most helpful staff. Clean and spacious room with comfortable beds and effective but quiet air conditioner. Wish I could have stayed longer!
