Hotel in Saint Vincent
At the heart of Saint Vincent, Hotel Alla Posta is opposite the cable car to the thermal spa. The hotel's wellness center is in the ruins of ancient Roman thermal baths. WiFi is free throughout. Everything. Very unusual hotel as far as configuration, yet I n great ways. The best value for money I've experienced over 7 decades of travel, especially In an area challenging to find suitable lodging. Breakfast is 3 euros...and superb. While Italian hotels generally include breakfast, it can be simply bad. So to pay rock bottom prices for a truly great spread, is impressive creativity and entrepreneurship

I am very pleased with Casa Moron. Friends with whom I was in this house are also very happy. Good location, clean, nice, nice views was everything you need. The hosts, which are probably the most important, are helpful, nice, friendly, honest people, they often ask if we need something else. They were able to give us more than they anticipated. For example, we were four guys and we got a large dish of delicious tiramisu. After a quarter of an hour, there was no sign of tiramisu. It was so delicious :-) When we were leaving I forgot my jacket from Casa Moron. The host informed me and immediately sent my jacket to Poland. The attitude of the hosts is exemplary. Certainly we will be back. Thank you. Tomasz
St Vincent is in the floor of the Aosta valley, just off the main A5 motorway, and below Cervinia on the road up the mountain. I was there to ski, so it is a 30+ min drive to ski areas, but if you like to vary your ski area with day passes in different resorts this is a perfect spot. The centre of the town is pedestrianised, so no traffic noise and lots of lovely local food restaurants to try out.
The free public car park is used for a market on Thursdays. There are signs up, however as a visitor on holiday it's easy not to realise you shouldn't park there on a Wednesday evening. We went to collect the car at 8:15am Thursday and found it had been towed away. The charge to release the car was 120 euro, and the garages attitude was that if you visit Italy you should learn to speak Italian. Not very tourist friendly to say the least.
It was easy to get around St. Vincent. The main street Via E. Chanoux was interesting with lot of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately we visited the place on a rainy day so we missed some good photos of the nearby mountains especially when we went up near the Thermal water. A good take off for Cervinia Breuil.
we only overnighted in St Vincent but did get to walk into town from the hotel. although it was October and late in the afternoon, shops were open as were some bars and restaurants. St Vincent probably comes alive in the winter with the snow crowd and is probably just as lively in the summer and there appeared to be two Casinos in town. Needless to say, we walked around and explored the town. Some good quality clothes shops for both men and women and people we met were very friendly although don't expect everyone to speak English. most common language spoken besides Italian is French.
A really nice little town with a good variety of restaurants. We were en route to France and needed an overnight stop. Saint Vincent fitted the bill, a nice walk and gelato in the afternoon and we found a superb restaurant for dinner (Le Grenier). Lots of lovely walks in the area. We didn't have time to explore the thermal springs and spas but who'd definitely an a bit longer to do that next time.
Everything! I've been here few times: its a lovely family run hotel and the staff is always very helpful and welcoming. Spa area is also lovely
Family-owned, great breakfast and ideal location.
