Senigallia is one of my favorite town. Nice beach, amazing food, historic buildings and very welcoming. It is easy to get there by car or by train and from there you can visit Marche (the region) which are very beautiful and mostly unknown (so not yet very crowded).
We liked the town with the nice old houses and allies, the beaches and the little shops and restaurants. It had a relaxed atmosphere. When we stayed there there was a festival called Jambala. It was with live music, foodtrucks and a market in rock 'n rol theme. We were in the middle of the town and could do everything walking. To the beach, the restaurants and cafe's and shops.
Senigallia is divided into 2 areas - the beach and the original old town. The beach is full of hotels and restaurants mainly for Italian families. There is a cycle lane along the coast road Which many people use. The older part of town has some interesting history sights and a laid back atmosphere for walking around, shopping or eating out. Try the gelateria just across Giulio bridge. Excellent!
A place to go! the historical, tiny nice town offer a classic Adriatic beach (with all the typical bars, chiringuitos, and restaurants), but inland you can find relaxing places on the smooth hills surrounding the town, the landscape is quite the same of Tuscany (they’re at the same latitude) it’s calm and the food is fantastic but it’s cheaper; Even if you spend your holidays during august you gonna find better prices compared to other places in Italy (such as Tuscany, Sicily, or Venice…). Plus you can travel around to discover some other pearls of the regions, such as Urbino and Monte Conero, I highly recommend this town!
Lovely city lots of places where you can rent a sunbed...prices are the same along the whole beach so just chose the one you fancy and that is available. Just bear in mind that closer to the shore the most expensive it gets. There are few stretches of free beach as well in case (so no sunbeds and sun brollies available to rent). Surf/Windsurf/Sailing school available as well just after the beach entrance number 99. (each beach entrance is called Bagni and has a person name so will be after "Bagni Licia 99") Lots of places where to eat but make sure to choose them carefully better stay away from the promenade. The only place nearby worth of mention that we have been to is Bruna Bistro the food was great, very fresh fish and good value for money. And also Gusto Piadineria. Is a tiny place but the girl working there is lovely. You can choose the base of your piadina (typical italian kind of flatbread) and the stuffing you prefer. Very good products and again good value for money. Lots of nice restaurants can be found in the center of Senigallia. Our favourites during the stay had been "Osteria degli Ulivi" (mainly fished based menu amazing host and even more amazing food), "Trattoria Rimante" (meat based menu), "City Pub" (for a good beer and pizza) and "Alter Ego" (for a lovely happy hours italian styles with lots of nibbles to have while you enjoying your drink). If you are staying a bit outside like we did make sure to avoid walking along Viale IV Novembre. No pavement lots of cars parked on both sides of the road and lots of traffic the whole day. Better walk up Via Venezia which is a residential area, much safer, with a proper pavement and lots of trees so you get some shade as well. Very easy to walk around the town.
I like to visit my mother in Senigallia, but the visits so far have been off-season, so during Christmas and Easter. I was lucky to get great weather each time I visited, so I was able to take long walks on the beach and to enjoy the Old Town. In winter, it is extremely quiet and it feels like there is not much going on, but because it is well connected by rail, it affords day trips to nearby Ancona or Fano, which are very lovely. It is easy to get around on foot in Senigallia, but you can take cabs too. Food is overall great, but don't expect it to be cheap. Traveling on a budget is not really feasible, as the accommodation rates don't vary that much, but you can definitely save money on meals if you stay in a holiday rental with a kitchen and get food from a supermarket. I look forward to a summer break here, but generally I would not spend more than 3-4 days, as there is not so much going on. Old town and fortress, the fish market area and the beach are the highlights.
Senigallia
We liked everything: the location in an old very nice townhouse in Senigallia. Nicely decorated and comfortably furniture in the studio with good airco and great facilities. Great breakfast and welcome from Monica the owner. She lives a level below. Senigallia is a very nice town and the seeside is great. Nice outside terras when you do not like to go out. We loved it! Monica helped us with parking space.
during which was probably the worst flooding in decades the hotel owners and staff still had smiles on their faces and couldn’t do more for us! thinking of all those that died in the flood and the spirit of the local people rallying around to help each other made it a privilege to stay there
the location is right by the sea. behind the hotel there are free parkings and a good pizza restaurant. it is easy to leave the hotel and come back. My first room was really small but the reception guy was nice to me to give me a bigger room!
Nice Family-run hotel. Leonardo did his best to make my stay pleasant. Very flexible, friendly and accomodating. Large, clean room with balcony and sea view. Great location, within short walking distance to restaurants. Bycickes available.
All staff members were courteous, very helpful and the breakfast was phenomenal. I felt like my mom serving me the best homemade food. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and will come again. Thank you for your great hospitality.
