Visited Monte Isola many times but decided to stay for a night this summer and could not be happier with our choice of Hotel Bellavista. We were picked up by the owner Paolo from the port, given a tour and information about the island, and had a lovely stay at the hotel. Paolo gave us plenty of information about restaurants and cafes nearby and timetables for the mini bus as well as his contact in case we needed a taxi. Set ups like this make Monte Isola so accessible for guests. We will be back for sure soon!

Riva di Solto is a small and picturesque lakeside village — peaceful, authentic, and undeniably charming. But be aware: very little happens here. Even on weekends, the town remains extremely quiet, with only 1–2 restaurants open and hardly any signs of typical tourist activity. It has a lovely lakeside promenade and beautiful views, but beyond that, there’s really not much going on — no nightlife, no shops, no attractions. The atmosphere is slow, relaxed, and, at times, a bit retired in spirit. This is a place for people who truly want to disconnect, avoid crowds, and enjoy a slice of quiet, traditional Italy. If you're looking for energy, entertainment, or variety — this is probably not the right place for you.

This is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic getaway.

This is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic getaway. If you are looking for 'party central', it's not for you. You are among locals that do their best to speak English and tolerate your bad Italian. It is seriously one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. A great local restaurant, some great cafes. And the woman that runs the little grocery is fabulous!

A very pretty small little village directly on the lake, with 2 small shops, pharmacy , 2 restaurants and 3 cafe bars , it has a nice little promenade with many local people out for family walk’s enjoy the view which was breathtaking

The villa was fabulous, marvellous views that exceeded...

The villa was fabulous, marvellous views that exceeded expectation. Rooms were spacious. We were very comfortable there. We could walk to an excellent local pizzeria, Bellavista, which did takeaway too. Riva di Solto is a short walk, about 15 minutes down, 20 minutes back (uphill!) and a lovely little village with a regular boat service to all parts of the lake. We were a little hot overnight and air conditioning would have been a welcome addition to the facilities.

Loved the hotel and it had the most amazing views of the beautiful lake. The restaurant was superb. Not happy to be charged 5 Euros each for asking for another towel each . We were told to use our room towels for the pool when we asked for pool towels which we did. We were never told there would be an extra charge for this service.

Stunning location on Lake Iseo with breathtaking views from the window of our room. From the high position you escape both the humidity from the lake and the noise from heavy traffic. The staff are extremely friendly, always on hand if you need anything and the abundant breakfast makes this hotel great value for money. Enjoying the traditional, typical food from the area on the restaurant terrace above the lake makes dining here a truly delightful experience.

The location is amazing. You are just 30 metres from the Iseo Lake. If you wish, in just 100 metres, you can take the boat from Riva di Solto and visit Montisola and other small villages along Iseo lake, You can have breakfast and other meals on the balcony watching and enjoying a wonderful lake view. I do recommend staying at Alex's lake House if you visit the Iseo Lake. Thank you! We will be back soon. Federico and Miriana

We stayed in the Monte isola room which was lovely and clean with a more spacious balcony than the other rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Mirtillo (blueberry) the hotels dog who always greeted us and wanted a belly scratch. The food in the hotel was amazing- we would highly recommend the stuffed Guinea fowl for dinner. There is also ample parking for drivers. The view is incredible.

The view on the lake is just amazing. We drove many times around the lake but the view we had at Studio Zu is the best. We also liked Riva di Solto a lot. Also Gianluigi is a great house keeper. He is kind, fast and very friendly. Also the restaurant in the same building is a lovely experience.
