Excellent boutique hotel! Loved the rooms they are updated and clean and feel luxurious for a very reasonably priced hotel on a beautiful island! We appreciated breakfast and the breakfast service as well as lovely views. I painted while on the island and ran out of white paint and the owner Paco was kind enough to get it for us from Verbania! I was really touched with the gesture. Highly recommend this place and we’re definitely coming back to Hotel Belvedere if we return to the Lake District!

It is a charming little town with wonderful panoramic pathway where you can walk, run or enjoy the Sun/views to the lake. Plenty of nice restaurants, tavernas and bars in the area for every taste. Many souvenir shops, possibility to go touring on the islands nearby. (Strongly recommend - especially Isola Bella).

Stresa has lots of restaurants and some shops with a nice promanade along the lake shoreline. Otherwise it’s just hotels and not so much else to do apart from visiting the Borromean Islands and admiring the scenery; both of which are great.

Stresa is the perfect sized town for a trip to Lago Maggiore...
Stresa is the perfect sized town for a trip to Lago Maggiore. Full of restaurants, bars and shops. A small walk from anywhere in the town to either the ferry terminal or the train station.
There are hotels for thrifty travellers as well as the rich and famous. The locals are very friendly and the town feels very safe.
Plenty to do, from boat trips around the lake, train trips to nearby towns, cycling along the lake or just staying in the town to enjoy a bit of shopping in the lovely shops or eating and drinking in the town's plentiful establishments.
The town is mainly flat, so perfect for people with small children and the slightly older travellers.

Stresa & Lake Maggiore is beautiful, but we didn't expect a rather noisy road outside the hotel. There were weddings, a 40th birthday party nearby & loud fireworks late in the evening.
We expected a calm, tranquil resort, but that wasn't the case.
The hotel is authentic and beautiful and in a quiet location 5mins from the town centre. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. We felt very looked after and relaxed at the Hotel du Parc. Also the best Spritz Aperol in the town !! After postponing our holidays since 2020 , Hotel du Parc and Lake Maggiore was worth the wait!
We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice experience in Stresa and the Regina Palace Hotel delivered 110%. With it slightly over the top (but still cheerful) decoration, its generous breakfast selection, and its excellent outdoorpool and gardens, we had a ball. The staff were always happy to help.
Great location 300m from Stresa Station and 200m from Lake Maggiore. Great little room on top floor with small balcony and lovely view of lake. Very helpful staff and luggage storage. Good value for money and great location I would stay at Hotel Boston again.
The room was large and you had everything you needed. The staff was also really friendly and helpful. Oh and since it's Italy, one should mention: they actually do speak english and german perfectly
