The rooms are spacious and spotless, and the breakfast is a delightful spread, prepared with care and attention to detail. The balcony is perfect for relaxing in the afternoon. Magdalena, who prepared breakfast, was exceptionally kind and attentive, and Stefania, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. I wholeheartedly recommend this place

IsraelThe hotel is amazing. We were lucky to park our car nearby the hotel. The host Jeanluke was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the heart of the old town close to many restaurants. The hotel was high class in everything including very rich breakfast.

Very traditional small town.
Very traditional small town. Food was delicious and well priced. Not over run by tourists. Felt safe at all times. I really needed to have stayed a week to have seen more of the region. Scanno is a must visit, as is the historic train trip.

Small town feeling, unpretentious, and sophisticated all at the same time. Excellent restaurants (Clemente for old-school-ish more complex food, and La Cantina di Biffi for lively, creative, superb fare and great wines), and good ones too. Beautiful scenery, interesting history dating back to the Romans.

Sulmona is a beautiful small town surrounded by mountains.
Sulmona is a beautiful small town surrounded by mountains. We ate at 4 different restaurants in 3 days, and every meal was fantastic. I've been to Italy many times in recent years, but I haven't eaten such consistently delicious food in decades. I want to return to Abruzzo and experience more of the region, but I suspect that Sulmona is a very special place within Abruzzo. Next time I will come via car so I can explore nearby towns and parks and hiking opportunities.

Sulmona ws a really nice, off the beaten path town to visit...
Sulmona ws a really nice, off the beaten path town to visit in Italy. It is the "home" of confetti, candied covered almonds, etc. We were able to tour museum factory where they have made these since the early 1700s. The old town itself is worth touring with ancient churches, many different street vendors, the farmer's market, etc. The town has some wonderful restaurants with authentic local cuisine.

Like most towns in Italy, Sulmona has it's own interesting character and history. And, it support visits to some remarkable places in the area like Pacentro, Popoli, or Casano which have their historic feel right there be seen..

Their always seems an event in Sulmona which makes the visit extra special, the city has numerous restaurants and bars.
In addition it has a traditional market on a Saturday with enticing fruit and vegetables.
It is in an extremely photogenic part of the country.

This is a family run hotel, and this shows in their customer service. They took so much trouble to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
Very clean. Excellent variety for breakfast.
LOVED having a kettle in the room.
Good location in the centre of town and we found there is a local bus from the train station.
Many good eating places within a short walk.

Everything was great! My husband and I stayed here in February during winter and temperatures outside tend to be quite cold, but the hotel was warm and cozy, and you have control over the room temperature.. Very nice hotel with great location. Sulmona is absolutely amazing and is really worth the visit!

This was a really great place to stay. An ideal location in the city, but not one that suffered with noise issues at all. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast really tasty. The room was exceptional as well. I would definitely return here if I were ever back in Sulmona.
