WE loved the large , well mainatined, spacious rooms and especailly the breakfast arrangements with both indoor and outdoor dining areas .. ours favourite was the outside terrace.. and above all the diligent and attentive, Magdaelena, who prepared superb breakfasts each day and kept the whole place immacualtely clean and with such a warm and endearing character .. a real bonus for the appartment.

Very nice hotel, newly built, and it feels very fresh. It is maintained well, and provides a lot of in-house facilities (such as kitchen in the room dishwasher, microwave inside the room; swimming pool (indoor and outdoors) & spa available at the hotel). I was visiting outside of the season (beginning of October), and the value for money ratio of extremely good.

A real Italian gem. Off the beaten track but fantastic. We arrived by motorcycle relatively early in the afternoon and we were greeted by two young men (waiters as it transpired) who treated us like long lost friends, sorted out the room, looked after a first cooling beer and then insisted on giving us some table snacks. The room was large with a veranda and immaculately clean with very effective air conditioning. Dinner was superb (we opted not to go down the pizza route) again with great service. Breakfast the next morning was served by the lady owner and there was too much already on the table.. she then asked if we would like ham and cheese🙂 Overall a superb night's stay and we would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Unspoilt Nature and World-Class Wine

From the Apennines to the Adriatic, unspoilt nature is what the Abruzzo is all about. Between hilltop towns and sandy beaches are swathes of rolling countryside and magnificent mountains.

The capital L’Aquila is being rebuilt following the earthquake that sadly left a devastating mark. This city and the medieval hill town Teramo sit in the foothills of the Gran Sasso National Park. This fantastic park is home to a rare antelope, wolves and wild boar, the latter of which can be found alongside brown bears in the Abruzzo National Park further south.

Most Abruzzo National Park hotels and one of the 5-star Abruzzo hotels are in Pescasseroli, a top ski resort. Roccaraso is also popular for skiing. To the north, Sulmona gave birth to Ovid and ‘confetti’, sugared almonds that Italians present as gifts. Its largest square Piazza Garibaldi hosts several events.

To the north-east is Chieti, a lovely hilltop town with an archaeological museum detailing the region’s rich history. Its closest resort is Pescara, whose long, sandy beach is only interrupted by its large port. Another popular beach is at Vasto, just north of the Molise border.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lobby was beautifully decorated and had a lovely, relaxing vibe. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable - I slept like a baby each night. The bathroom was very original and well-appointed. Overall, I can't say enough good things about our experience. The location was stunning, the amenities were fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. I will definitely be returning the next time I need a rejuvenating "trip into the past" getaway!

This was the second time we stayed here during winter, and we are definitely keeping this hotel among our favourite stops. Very secure parking, very nice personnel, location is great as it's close to many restaurants and right on the beach. The gym is nice with very good air circulation. They even provide towels and water. Our family room was actually two rooms, so double bathroom which is great. Breakfast is fresh and varied, with a beautiful view of the sea.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the breakfast was good with enoug choices. The parking was convenient, and there were also good entertainment options available, making the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, the hotel offers large, comfortable rooms and excellent value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to others.

Very clear hotel at the seaside with sea view from a balcony. We were there just for one night, end of November, completely off season, so the hotel was almost empty but it only made more attractive for us. Due to very few guests breakfast was served in a room. You have a choice between Italian or continental breakfast. We chose continental and it was sufficient.

The hotel is ideally situated directly across from the beach, just a short walk from the harbor and the main shopping and dining areas. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel also provides bicycles for guests, allowing you to explore the area along the spacious bike path that runs right outside.

The hotel is located on a perfect spot between the city and beach. The room and hotel were clean. My stay was very relaxing because of the kind staff and great facilities. The private beach was comfortable and very close to the hotel. I will definitely come back to this hotel on my next trip to Pineto.

It is a beautiful town with lovely shops and restaurants. The beach is spectacular with a lovely beach promenade. If you have a car, the towns in the mountains about 1 hours drive from Pescara are spectacular and will leave a lasting impression.

We were there while the street is closed at night which made having a good look around at night really nice. Quite a number of food places close by the hotel so we chose to go to a different one each night. We seemed to get forgotten everynight and one place we waited almost 2hrs for food.

Abruzzo is a beautiful region, with beautiful nature reserves, mountain ranges and beaches. It is not very densely populated, or touristy. As its capital, l'Aquila is a lovely antique city to visit and to explore the inland parts of Abruzzo, like the Gran Sasso and Parco Nationale d'Abruzzo. Since the renovation after the earthquake the centre of l'Aquila has a lot more small bars and restaurants and it has become a great place for a night out. We love going to l'Aquila and staying there for a few days.

A mix of everything - great shopping, restaurants and...

A mix of everything - great shopping, restaurants and culture - quick drive to lovely sand beaches or you can drive further to experience other beaches. In between Pescara and Termoli if you want to see other towns. Can also drive into the countryside quickly if you want to visit olive oil production or wineries.

Sulmona is an amazing medieval town that has many shops and restaurants. There are often festivals and live music to be enjoyed. The market is there twice a week in the piazza and is worth going to look through the stalls. It is easily accessible by train. You can stay a few days or weeks and still find things to do. It is not far from the beach for a day trip or there are numerous national parks nearby for hiking and nature. Sulmona is the confetti producer and the street is lined with shops selling beautiful arrangements of the candy. The factory is nearby for tours as well! Delicious food and gelato at every turn and the probate exceptionally friendly! I can't say ent!!

Santo Stefano di Sessanio is a small village which is constantly being renovated following the 2009 and 2017 earthquakes bit it definitely maintains its charm as it is nestled just under the Gran Sasso massif with wonderful mountain views. It has several restaurants and one cafè and supermarket, but it is very quaint and definitely worth visiting and staying in.

Giulianova is a cozy town on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. The long coastline has many wonderful beaches with golden sand. The embankment along the sea is full of flowers. There are long, comfortable bike paths that are used by many visitors to the city. For lovers of antiquity, there is a beautiful center on the hill. Food, vine and relax are perfect in Giulianova.

Pescara is a great town with everything you could want and access to public transportation for sight seeing. The beach is beautiful and the town is clean. There are many choices for meals, laundromats, atm's and shops galore.

Montesilvano was good.

Montesilvano was good. Compared to Pescara were we ended up being quite late in the evening due to the bus disruptions and it felt very unsafe. We also got fined on the bus from the airport as we did not buy the ticket in advance, hoping to get it from the bus driver or a machine on the bus. Needlessly to say, neither option worked. So we tried installing some TUA app where you can purchase them online, however, 3 supervisors got on after the second stop and literally fined half of the bus. According to what I read, this is a tip off and a common practice to earn easy money by TUA. So very disappointing welcome to Italy, when this could be easily prevented if there were clearer instructions for tourists available anywhere as a matter of fact. There is not much in Montesilvano but there are at least 4 supermarkets which was good. Beach was probably the best part, nice big sandy beach and a very slow decline in the sea so very safe for kids. We won’t be coming back due to couple negative experiences but someone might love it if they are more lucky than us.

L'Aquila is, as they say, a place worth seeing but maybe not worth going to see. A quiet town surrounded by beautiful mountains and an hour and a half bus ride from Rome. Significantly chillier weather than Rome also. A clean city, good food.
