Offering a large garden with swimming pool, a Technogym fitness center, and an à la carte restaurant with veranda, Villa Tirreno is set 0.6 mi from Tarquinia's National Etruscan Museum, in the... The menu wasn't your typical Italian menu. It had many unusual dishes that were excellent. I liked the baby squid stew in red sauce, Tortelli in cream sauce, and my wife enjoyed her seafood risotto in the hotel restaurant. The room was spacious and had a covered balcony. the staff was very helpful.
Set in Lido di Tarquinia, a few steps from the beach, Hotel La Torraccia is a modern property offering free WiFi. Each air-conditioned room features an LCD TV, a mini-bar, and a safe. It was our first time in Tarquinia. Francesca and the rest of the staff were wonderful , very helpful and kind. The restaurant was of the highest quality. The service, food & presentation was amazing! The room was modern and comfortable, just a bit small but a great price. A wonderful find very near the beach. Take a taxi to the Etruscan tombs. Tarquinia is rich in history and we'll be back someday. A well kept secret...til now. :)
Villa Hotel Valle del Marta Resort is set just out of Tarquinia's historic center, in the River Marta Valley. The gardens have a pool and great views. Very friendly staff (Mario and Franco) Exceptional location Good breakfast
Civico Zero Resort in Tarquinia features 4-star accommodations with free bikes, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Staff were wonderful. The room was spacious. We had a large balcony overlooking the sea. We are aware this is new management taking over a tired hotel and transforming it. The restaurant is excellent.

Located a 5-minute drive to the historic center of Tarquinia, the family-run Hotel All'Olivo offers classic-style rooms with air conditioning. Very pleasant and easy walk to city.
Set on the beachfront and nestled amid lush greenery, the hotel occupies a privileged position in an area of tranquility, it has 3 swimming pools, ideal for a relaxing Mediterranean break.
Lovely Walled city. Staff at hotel spoke good english and we're helpful and friendly. The beach was easy to drive too. Thr local people invited us to local event and were friendly. All together a memorable experience.
Charming town! Liked the Etruscan museum and Necropoli dei Monterozza. Hosts at La Casetta were gracious!! We ate at Arcadia. The dishes were good..one was a pasta with aubergine and sausage and the other was seafood linguine. It was moderately priced for a family of four around 70 euros.
The location, alongside the Etruschi Coast, was perfect. The Archaeological Museum is one of the best for learning about the Etruscan age as is the Etruscan burial grounds. The city center is very manageable by foot.
One day here to view the tombs and then catch the museum early the next morning. Tarquinia is not a hot spot on the tourist track so it does lack some conveniences. That said the museum and tombs are worth a stop on your drive to Rome. It certainly can been seen in an afternoon.
Tarquinia was a real hidden treasure on our trip through Italy - a place where you truly feel that you have gotten lost in time. The old city is built on top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean and the hills of Viterbo - it retains most of its walls and old towers, with winding streets worth a long walk. We did not get a chance to go to the museum or inside the churches, which we would want to try. The necropolis of Etruscan tombs is another historical delight.
Everything was wonderful . . . . but be prepared to walk up maybe two flights of stairs; not uncommon in the older buildings (and really good exercise). English is spoken and both our hostesses were most helpful with walking, parking, and eating suggestions. Much of the old walled city is still accessible, and the Etruscan Necropolis AND museum will take you back to 600 BC. Super interesting. Parking in the city is quite adequate, and costs only 3 Euro for 24 hours.
Il Corso is a cozy bed and breakfast right in the centre of Tarquinia. My room was very nice, with a spacious bed and a very clean bathroom, provided with all necessary toiletries. The breakfast was abundant. The owners of the property are extremely friendly and helpful people who did anything possible to make my stay excellent. The property is on the main street of the historical centre and all the important things to see are no more than 200 metres away.
Bare-bones hotel. No services, but clean, great staff, good A/C, good Wifi and wonderful location. 5 minutes walk to the center of the medieval town of Tarquinia. 15 minutes public bus ride to Tarquinia Lido (beach). And 5 minutes bus ride to/from the Tarquinia train station. Wonderful cafe next door for morning coffee. Fabulous restaurants both in town and along the beach. Great deal for your money!!!!
The location is good and all in Tarquinia is within walking distance. The apartment is clean and cleaned every day. Also the apartment is big enough for 4 persons. Massimo is a great host. Beds were quite comfortable. I would recommend warmly the apartment for adults, but it is in my opinion less suitable for families with small kids. The apartment is quiet even though it is in town Center.
A lovely B&B, only 3 rooms. We stayed on the top floor. Bed was comfortable, and AC kept us nice and cool. Big bathroom with a tub, which is uncommon in hotels I've stayed at in Italy. Friendly staff, too. She offered to make us bacon & eggs for breakfast. We wished later we would've said yes, because everything at the breakfast buffet was rather sweet (cakes, etc.).
It was one of the most one unexpectable "hotels" I have been staying on. It was marvellous. The host and his family greeted us with cakes a couples of times during the stay. We also were able to pick fresh fruit from their garden as much as we liked. The dog named Fanny was a real joy for our grandchildren. We loved it!
Excellent, clean, fully equipped private house in nice area of Tarquiniasta. The young host couple was very helpful and did absolutely their best in helping us. Large swimming pool and excellent breakfast were really great. Nice room with coffee machinr, really well working bathroom and balcony with sea view were all included.
This small apartment in the tower of a cardinal’s palazzo has been beautifully restored to luxury conditions. Massimo, our host, was charming and accommodating. Tarquinia is in a fascinating area. We explored Cerveteri’s and Tarquinia’s Etruscan sites and the museum in Tarquinia.
I had a great stay in Velcamare. It's only a couple of minutes away from the seaside, the food is excellent, but what impressed me the most was the staff who seemed so much in control, although we arrived in a large group and made a lot of fuss
Well-equipped, beautifully-presented, very helpful owners/managers. In middle of central historic area of Tarquinia, close to excellent museum & easy walk to fascinating necropolis, yet not swamped by large foreign tour groups.
Beautiful setting out in the country, a lovely room in an old stone building, recently remodeled. Friendly and helpful hostess that speaks excellent english! Easy distance from the archaeological sites and museums of Tarquinia.
Well-located in the Etruscan heartland of Tarquinia. We loved the scale of the ancient city and how our corner was a friendly little neighborhood that quickly accepted us. The apartment common kitchen was adequate and useful.
The room was comfortable, except for the shower which was tiny. The staff was excellent, helpful in planning our sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent, with the best service, coffee and eggs. Parking was easy at the hotel.
Great location, very close to the beach, nice personel, very family (children) friendly, beautiful garden, excellent food in hotel's restaurant.
It was an unique experience staying in a B&B in Italy. There were no eggs, but special fresh tarts, great coffee, cheeses and meats with bread.
Excellent location in the centre of town. The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious and elegant.
Location between Tarquinia old town and Tarquinia Lido Friendly owner
Renovated cute small hotel
