Torri del Benaco is an absolute gem on the east of the lake.
Torri del Benaco is an absolute gem on the east of the lake. It may be overlooked because of the closeness of Garda and Bardolino but that would be a mistake. Special place for us. We used to stay here every year. It is nice and quite place with small shops, restaurants and beautiful views from every sides. There is also the ferry that will take you quickly and comfortably to the other side of the lake. There are nice places on the beach and the possibility of hiking and cycling. Very pretty little old town with very friendly people.
Very pretty little old town with very friendly people. There are some nice shops and many, many restaurants offering good food, particularly fish. Prices are comparable to any other tourist resort in the area. There is an interesting castle and many little ancient alleyways in the old part of town. In summer one can swim off the beach at the far end of town. It is a good location for short trips to other towns and villages along the lake by car, bus or ferry/boat. Public transport is reasonable but can be tricky getting from the airport. The taxi is much faster but will cost €85 each way.Guest review byF&IUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It is next to the beach and you get a sunbed for free if you are a guest at the hotel. The bus stop is right down the street so you can easily see other towns, and the beautiful town of Torri Del Benaco is a short walk away.
