We arrived very late (10:30 pm) because our flight was delayed. We spoke with the owner by messaging (she speaks only italian , but still helped us a lot) and she made sure to leave us a key when we arrived. The breakfast was simple but very tasty and satisfactory, and with a great view of the mountains. The bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We came in and the hallway and room already smelled not only clean but really nice. Rooms were clean and homey and the staff was exceptionally nice! Even though we didn't speak Italian she tried to help with English. Overall a wonderful experience!

Varzo is a lovely village with lots of old stone buildings...

Varzo is a lovely village with lots of old stone buildings and a church, with fields nearby and views of the mountain. It is near the main road that goes through the Simplon pass, which is a beautiful drive, well paved road, and kept open all year with amazing views, but tucked away off the road just far enough not to be troubled by road noise, which I am extra sensitive to. It was an excellent stop over on our route to France through the Alps. We also enjoyed the drive up to it through a pass road from Lake Maggiore, turning off in Cannobio.

Varzo is a nice small town, with nice town centre up on the...

Varzo is a nice small town, with nice town centre up on the hill. San Giorgio church is architecturally interesting. Swiss border is 9 km from Varzo, and Simplon pass 28 km. Interesting town of Domodossola is 15 km south of Varzo. Scenery around Varzo is fantastic; high mountains and deep alpine valleys.

A delightful village, quaint and quiet streets.

A delightful village, quaint and quiet streets. Excellent restaurants too. It was a beautiful room, new furnishings with exceptional service to make sure we were settled and had a dinner reservation. Very highly recommended

It's close to a skiing resort but for summer walking close...

It's close to a skiing resort but for summer walking close to Milan it's hard to beat. Well signposted routes, beautiful scenery and off the beaten track surprisingly so not too many people around.
