Location is excellent. Hiked to Monterosso and Corniglia with ease. View was spectacular. The young guy working there gave us excellent information about the building and the area. The church bells were a very nice way to wake up in the morning.

View was great from a shared terrace. The hostess was outstanding. She provided super communication at each stage and met us when we got off the train. The room was charming as well. We liked everything about our stay.

The location of I Limoni di Vernazza is perfect for staying in Vernazza...it's close to the train but in the opposite direction of all the foot traffic and tourism. The host met us right outside the train station and we saw her often around town. She was very sweet and had some good recommendations for us. The room had coffee and tea, but just outside there is Il Pirata delle Cinque Terre ("the Pirate") with the most amazing owner, breakfast and lunch! The pastries there are so good and he takes so much pride in the quality of his food and making all his guests feel special. He is definitely the greeter and host of the town and makes you feel like a special guest every time you see him. That was our daily morning spot and a great place to reconvene to decide the evening plans! The room itself was perfect for myself and my son, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is small but there is a large mirror outside the bathroom to use to get ready. There is also a laundry mat right next to The Pirate with a dryer also that was so convenient. We played cards and had a drink next door to it at Pippo a Vernazza Tradizione & Street Food while we waited for our clothes.
Need at least 2 days as so much to see. The roads are narrow and it takes longer to drive, but is so worth it. Most of Vernazza is quiet and remote and lush with trees and flowers. It was not what I expected but was delightful.

The beautiful evenings of friends and families gathering for dinner and children running around with gelato and playing games. There was even a magician performing in the square for great entertainment. There were lots of options for wining and dining.

Small town with a small waterfront and smaller beach.
Small town with a small waterfront and smaller beach. The town is colorful and delightfully compact. It serves as a great base for hiking the Cinque Terra trails. From the main street everything is uphill on steep staircases and through narrow winding alleyways. Lots of fun. It is a simple matter to take the train between towns; hike from Vernazza to Cornelia or Monterossa with its expansive beachfront, and take the train back in the evening--just don't miss the last train.
Several good restaurants in hidden places and adjacent to the medieval towers. All require steep stairways to reach but worth the effort. From the towers you get great views along the coast. The Focaccraria has great selections for an inexpensive lunch.

Vernazza was our favourite of the cinque Terre towns
Vernazza was our favourite of the cinque Terre towns
The square at the sea front felt like the focus of the town and was surrounded by places to eat and
Drink. Stunning. View wherever you looked
Better staying there than just visiting as the tourist numbers were lower early in day and later in evening

Vernazza is probably the easiest of the Cinque Terra...
Vernazza is probably the easiest of the Cinque Terra villages to get around. This lodging is up a cliff - 111 steps! But the view! Monterosso has the best beach. Corniglia is charming but amazing amount of stairs up from the train station. Riomaggiorie is the largest and plenty of amenities. Steep hills! All in all- be prepared to hike and climb in any of the villages. Worth it !
Our host was a lovely man and helped us with our bags up the stairs and we also checked in early which was great. The room was nice and the location great however the drains were blocked so the bathroom smelled and therefore seemed a bit dirty. Vernazza is very beautiful but there are v few hotels just rooms for rent as far as we could find. It is very very busy, if I went back to cinque terre I would just visit rather than stay there. We were however there over a weekend and did a great boat trip one afternoon.
My stay here in May 2022 was a treat. Room 2 is a lovely, well appointed room. The host was warm and welcoming and the location is perfect. It is like staying in a mini-hotel. I didn't want to leave and if my budget didn't depend on the lowly NZ dollar, I would have stayed longer. This place is 9.9 out of 10! My only tiny problem was the saggy mattress; maybe in need of replacement.
Room 2 has a fridge, which is great for avoiding the expensive charges for breakfast in Vernazza.
Amazing property and location!! The room was much larger than expected. We stayed in the split level room at the top of the building. It was amazing opening up the window to see the church bell and ocean. Incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is associated with a restaurant at the base of Vernazza (near the waterfront, where you check in), and they give guests 10% off. We had dinner there the first night and it was delicious!
the hotel is in a great location and although there are steps to get there (like everywhere in cinque terre) its not that bad and the owners help you with luggage. The rooms have modern facilities, good showers and a really comfortable bed/pillows.
