Albergo Barbara offers accommodations in Vernazza town center, a few steps from the sea. Free WiFi is available throughout. Fantastic view. Clean, comfy room. Very friendly, helpful staff. Bathroom clean, adequate, shower a little tight, but perfectly functional. Thanks for a great overnight stay! A highlight of our stay was swimming in the beautiful clear ocean on the pebble beach, the farthest spot from the entrance to the "tunnel" to the western beach. Magnificent!
In the heart of the 5 Terre Coast, the Hotel Gianni Franzi features rooms with private bathrooms just below Vernazza's Doria Castle. Wonderful room and bathroom with great views and air con. Very helpful staff. Terraces overlooking sea fantastic.
Pensione Sorriso is 164 feet from Vernazza Train Station, with direct links around the Cinque Terre area. It offers a furnished garden and a bar. Great place, perfect location and nice bathroom
Santa Marta Rooms 23 is set in Vernazza's historic center, 492 feet from the sea shore, in the UNESCO Cinque Terre National Park. Free WiFi is available throughout. The host Alessandro was tmvery helpful! He waited for us at the station, helped carrying our luggage up to the top floor and also down on our last day. The location is great : on the main street but still quiet. The room was perfect with a huge bathroom. Perfect!
La Polena - Affittacamere is set in Vernazza, 27 mi from Portofino. Featuring free WiFi, each room at this guest house is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. Refreshments, toiletries, quality furniture. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Good location. Friendly and knowledgeable owners who offered good recommendations.
Cadè Ventu offers pet-friendly accommodations 2.5 mi from Vernazza town center, on the hill between Vernazza e Corniglia. Free private parking is available on site. Rooms have a flat-screen TV. The two people (husband/ wife) who work here (are not owners) are the best ever. Amazing service and hospitality. Location and views are insanely good. Food they service is great and reasonably priced. They may be priced a bit high but still a steal in my opinion for the LOCATION.
Boasting a garden with barbecue facilities, and a sea-view terrace, Il Sole di Valletonda Holiday House provides accommodations in Corniglia, in the UNESCO Cinque Terre Natural Park.
Featuring a shared lounge and barbecue facilities, Corniglia - San Bernardino WiFi has accommodations in San Bernardino with free WiFi and sea views. The apartment in San Bernardino has an amazing sea view and view of Corniglia! It was very clean and comfortable and private. We loved meeting Mauro and Alba and a few of the other locals who greeted us. The fellow working in the little bar by the bus stop was very pleasant and helpful also! Taking the bus in to Vernazza was fun because of the locals on the bus. All in all, my husband and I would choose to stay in the San Bernardino apartment again because it was good value for our money and it felt like an authentic Italian village experience.
Appartamento gianluca is located in San Bernardino. The nearest airport is Cristoforo Colombo Airport, 68 miles from the apartment.
A Casa di Anna is set in Vernazza. The accommodations has free WiFi. This 2-bedroom holiday home comes with a seating area, a TV and a kitchen with an oven. The owners were very friendly and the house was beautiful! It’s a short 10 minute bus ride from vernazza but is totally worth it with the view and the price you pay. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Cinque Terre in 2019 is a disappointment. We would not have gone there had we known that 80% of the pathway along the coast is closed. In addition, while the alternative paths up and down the mountains afford lovely views, their treads and accessibility are not up to good standards. We were on hands and knees in some places and footing on our descent from Santuario N.S. Di Soviore to Monteroso is steep, with many loose rocks. We hike on forest trails in America and have walked Hadrian's Wall, so we have abundant comparisons. In addition, the Cinque Terre park permit costs as much when the trails are closed as when they are open.
This is a beautiful region of Italy. If you are going to take the hiking trails be prepared. They are not a leisurely walk. These are stony, narrow, sometimes steep paths with a multitude of steps. This is not a place for strollers. At first we laughed at all the no flip-flops and high heals signs, but during our time there it was clear that people didn't understand what they are getting into on most of the trails. Start our early in the morning or late in the afternoon. We traveled the path from Vernazza to Monterosso. As we approached Monterosso later in the morning, the steady stream of people taking the trail to Vernazza made it decidedly less fun. the path is generally wide enough to take single file. Oncoming people caused a variety blockages.
Vernazza is a great little town to stay in. However we were hoping to hike to other towns nearby but all the trails (except one) were closed. Check the status of the trails (open/closed) before booking a stay. Otherwise, we could have stayed elsewhere and just taken the train in.
Vernazza is the perfect town to stay in for a trip to Cinque Terre. It has all the charm of one of the five towns and it is easy to get to the other towns and the hiking trails. Plus Vernazza has lots of restaurants and shops and places to sit in the sun.
Very pretty town with easy access to transport, beautiful walks directly from the town. We particular enjoyed walking and traveling between the towns in Cinque Terre, the walks are steep but fun for young kids. We particularly enjoyed the food at Il Pirata delle and wished we'd had time to have breakfast there, the pastry goods looked delicious.
Great: the quaintness of the town, charming locals, who were willing to help with luggage, restauranteurs who were willing to share their stories! Not so great: the throngs of tourists that engorge the little town and totally overload the locals!

Views Comfort Tranquility Cleanliness Stars This property is absolutely beautiful. This is 2km from Vernazza. A vehicle is a must. Parking is on the main road (safe) and you need to walk about 100m on a path to get to the house. It's recommended you bring your luggage with what you need for your stay. Leave the remains in your car. The view is spectacular with the coast visible from the Terrace. All supplies provided: The hosts were fantastic and attentive. The drive to Cinque Terre is not for the faint of heart. Great place.

The hosts were lovely - very friendly and helpful and made it extra special for us when they found out it was our honeymoon. The room was gigantic - it had a separate lounge room with a TV and couch that doubled up as another bed. The views from the room were amazing. Vernazza was our favourite town in Cinque Terre (maybe even the world!) and we would both love to return one day. If/when we come back, we'll stay at La Polena again without hesitation.

Amazing view on the balcony.!! So close to town but private and quiet. The apartment is built into the cliff with a very cool rock wall interior. Like most of vernazza, the path to the apartment is a charming steep staircase. Tons of space for our family, with comfy beds, nice bathroom, and a gorgeous view kitchen, no sofa/living room which our tired hiking legs craved. Staff was easy going and helpful. we would definitely stay here again!

The room was right off the main street of Vernazza. Right near the train station, bars and restaurants and spots to swim. We visited all the towns of the Cinque Terre and this was our favourite of them all- very glad we chose this one to stay in. Luca, Anna’s son was very helpful and friendly and showed us some spots in town on the way to our room. The room was clean and well kept.

Federico and Virginia were the perfect hosts. They helped us with luggage and were very good at communicating. The apartment is very close to everything in perfect Vernazza and was extremely clean and comfortable. This apartment was one of our 2 favourite places we stayed in Italy over 3 weeks. We would definitely recommend and stay again. Much bigger and better than the photos!

We were met at the train station and walked to the right up the hill about 5 minutes. She showed us to our room and gave us keys as well as the details. We got right back out and enjoyed our night in Vernazza. Very easy to find, very safe for a mom and her daughter and cozy. Not luxury but quaint charm.

Nice room, big bed, and clean. The location of the room was well situated in Vernazza, but kind of hard to get to. MANY stairs, but once inside it was pleasant. Anna was great, very friendly. Room overlooked the main road, which was fun for people watching while drinking my morning coffee.

We stayed in the triple room by the main square and the location was excellent! The main building is beside “il pirate della cinque terre” café which is the best place in town for breakfast. Overall was a good experience :)

Great location in town. Go into the Cinque Terre Point shop when you arrive at the Vernazza station. That’s where you get the key and the staff there will carry your bags to the house, otherwise you will 100% get lost

The room was decorated really cute and romantic. The view is nice on a clear day (we had some hazyness). You can go out to have dinner in one of the villages of cinque terre and see it with less tourist around.

Alessandro was great, and helpful. The Room was clean and relatively new with a nice terrace/balcony and very handy to everything in the small town if Vernazza. This is NOT however a hotel so beware.

Location, view, hospitality, and the hotel located at the top gives the whole view, colors and sounds (eg. church bells ringing while sun rising) of the town, and you feel the spirit of Cinque Terre.

Unbeaten views! From the hotel, you can have a bird view of 3 of the five villages of Cinque Terre, beautiful! Betty and Ezio from the restaurant are very friendly, Ezio cooks very delicious food!

Everything. We had zero complaints from the beginning to the end. Alex was a great host, the room and the view was perfect. This is the best place to stay in Cinque Terre!

Wonderful location in the heart of Vernazza. Our room was up 129 steps, but had the best view of the ocean and was very clean and comfortable. We loved staying there.

The location was excellent and it was well provisioned. Dishes, coffee, basic kitchen supplies, and even a Rick Steves guidebook

The room itself was comfortable and clean, and the location is close to the water and close to the Cinque Terre trails.

The rooms was so spacious, modern and clean. A lot bigger than I expected. About ten steps away from the Main Street in vernazza and a laneway away from the beach. The coffee was really good 😊 The owners/staff were really nice and pleasant to deal with. We stayed here for 6 nights and would stay again. We had the room with a sitting room separate to the bedroom . It was very nice. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and new.
