From the hotel you can reach the city by bus, bus stops are around the hotel. Rooms equipped with everything you need. Ours also had a balcony. In the room we had a tea kettle, different types of teas, sugar, cups. The fridge is filled daily. There is a safe in the room. The cleanliness is of a high standard. The bar is well stocked and open until almost midnight, and the service is very prompt. The hotel terrace is very pleasant, the parking lot is safe and big enough. There is also underground parking.

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalized in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.
Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.
Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheater which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theater whose remains are partly beneath a house.
The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which have cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laid back and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.
Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.
The arena/coliseum and the hilltop castle of St. Peter , the square around the arena ( good architecture in the area) are the main draws, along with the Romeo/Juliette tourist gig - can easily be done with a full day, staying would be optional.

We took a free walking tour with Anastasia which was an excellent introduction to the town's attractions. We weren't too impressed with the crowds at the weekend particularly around the Arena but it quietened down during the week.
We had an excellent meal at Osteria II Bertoldo - excellent ambience, service and the best food we ate in Verona.
We travelled to Mantua for the day by train. Well worth the visit.

Verona is a city of 250k people and 5m visitors per annum. It is very wealthy and the daily promenade, including dogs, was lovely. Verona is known for the fictional Romeo and Juliet but it has a lot more to offer. Grab a walking tour, both free and paid, and learn the others secrets of Verona. The Apertivo were particularly enjoyable!

Some awesome architecture art and a great vibe! Must sees are the Romeo and Julie’s Houses the beautiful plaza d’Erbe and the plaza of the merchants are all spectacular in their architecture, and age. The arena and surrounding caglfe’s are also very nice. The Duomo was incredible showing how layers of the city have been built upon over the millennia.

We liked staying in a quieter suburb jut outside Verona but found the travel to the city tiring and surprisingly busy.
We should have spend more time near Lake Garda and Sirmione !
Verona was nice but we spoiled it by visiting Venice the day before.
We did struggle with Pizza and Pasta... not much variety.
Barba Nera street food was excellent if you're south of the city and wanting a quiet place to grab a non pizza / pasta meal. The guys were great and couldn't do enough to help us.
The hotel is in an absolutely amazing location and the staff were fantastic. The hotel was really clean and the rooms were comfortable and much bigger than expected for Italy. The roof top bar was also amazing and we LOVED our daily greetings from Mia (the dog!). Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting Verona.
The personnel was more than helpful. The lady at the reception gave us information not only concerning the hotel, but also about how to get to the important touristic points of Verona. The room was clean. The service at the restaurant was good, personnel spoke good English, which is not often the case in Italy. The breakfast was good.
A really stylish boutique style hotel in the foothills of Verona. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely restaurant and bar looking down on Verona. Parking on site. Highly recommended.
Location! So close to Verona train station, also a very easier 10 min walk from airport transfer bus stop (outside Verona train station) to hotel. 10/15 mins into Verona centre.
