Sole Hotel Verona

Hotel in Porta Nuova, Verona

Sole Hotel Verona offers accommodations right by Verona Porta Nuova Train Station, in a strategic yet very tranquil position within the railway complex. A great hotel adjacent to the train and bus station. It is approximately 20 minutes walking to the arena but it is a pleasant walk where there is plenty to see. The location is perfect for getting to the airport. 6 euros on the bus, every 20 minutes. The hotel is modern and new, clean and the staff are efficient and professional. We will stay here again the next time we are in Verona.

Hotel in Porta Nuova, Verona

Hotel Giberti is set between Verona's Arena and Porta Nuova Station and has an outdoor terrace. Large rooms and 24-hour service is provided. Great welcome by the receptionist on arrival. We got good tips for restaurants and a equisite introduction of the city with a map. This is by now our best first minutes in a Hotel ever! The room was exstraordinary clean, no neglected spots at all. Straff all over the Hotel were friendly, polite, helpful and felt interested in your welbeing. In the night absolute quiet and adjustable aircondition. Buffet breakfast with good selection to meet all needs. Nice to be able to eat outside for breakfast in the back of the Hotel surrounded by gren plants next to parkinglot, but not a problem. Will definately stay here if we visite Verona again.

Set in Verona’s center, just 1148 feet from the Verona Arena, Hotel Accademia offers air-conditioned rooms in a convenient location. Free WiFi is available throughout. Location primarily. However what one should bear in mind is the consideration to the guest who will be staying in the rooms. All amenities were obviously well thought of. This should be a barometer standard for other similar starred hotels to emulate.

Hotel Trieste - Adults Only

Hotel in Porta Nuova, Verona

Set 1640 feet from the Verona Arena, Hotel Trieste offers a shared lounge and air-conditioned rooms with a flat-screen TV. Featuring a café, this design hotel also has free Wi-Fi and bike rental. Amazing staff and super cool decor. Tucked just south of the old city center, it was the perfect location for us given that it was amazingly close to all the sights, but was far removed enough from the usual noise of épicentres. Easy enough to park around and hotel can arrange parking in front.

A Shakespearean Fairytale

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalized in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.

Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.

Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheater which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theater whose remains are partly beneath a house.

The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which have cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laid back and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.

Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.
