Wadi Rum is a great place to learn about and experience the culture of the Bedouin community; the village is full of friendly locals who are always ready to welcome you. The village itself is the gateway to the desert. I would recommend Wadi Rum Candles Desert Camp as they offer a wide range of desert tours and a typical Bedouin community experience.
The only thing I didn’t like here was the owner Ahmad and his freinds, they told me they’ll organise a trip to the airport for only 20 JD. After they made it 35 JD because buses weren’t running and they put me in a taxi. We planned this the day before so if they knew the buses weren’t running why didn’t they let me know instead of telling me last minute I have to take a taxi and pay more. They only wanted more money. When the taxi dropped me off he wanted more money. They made me pay 40 JD all together when the fixed price was 20 and I repeatedly asked the day before is this the fixed price he said yes. They kept lying to me and only wanted money money money. They did this because I’m a female travelling by myself and they think I’m a bank. This honestly ruined my trip and I’m glad I left, they think it’s okay to keep changing the price and taking advantage of the fact I have no other option and I’m a young female travelling by myself. Anyone coming here just please be aware there will always be people like this trying to rip you off and it’s very sad. I came to have a good time not have them take loads of my money and lie to me. The cook at the camp was the only lovely person apart from this im never coming to this camp again and I hope I never meet people like this when I come to Jordan again
We stayed two nights giving us the opportunity to enjoy the area in a relaxed manner. We did an all-day jeep tour so as to get in all the sites without any stress. It was fun and relaxing. We also took a 1 hour camel ride--very enjoyable!
Wadi rum desert is beautiful place, definitely worth to visit but be extra careful with choosing a hotel/camp, unfortunately there are nasty people and you will be trapped in desert with no cell phone connection, no ability to walk away or leave and totally depend on nasty people
We enjoyed the small family run Wasseem Camp with spectacular views over the dessert. The accommodation is a short 4WD from the main road outside of Wadi Rum, with nearby Parking and pick up provided if necessary for conventional vehicles. The home cooked meal in the evening was delicious and much appreciated after the 4 hour jeep tour of the Wadi. Accommodation was warm during the cooler night weather and the linen and room clean and functional. A genuinely enjoyable stay.
Staff very welcoming and extremely helpful at all times. Location superb - very scenic and remote - very peaceful. Igloo style rooms were idyllic and well appointed - bed big and very comfortable. Evening Food was fresh and excellent. Breakfast a little light on options.
Wadi Rum
The stay at Wadi Rum Dream Camp was probably the highlight of our Jordan trip! We were really well looked after and were also delighted to have a room upgrade to one with a private bathroom as well as an amazing desert view! (Would really recommend everyone to book a "tent" with a view) !!! Watching camels walk outside your window is a pretty cool sight! :). The food was nice, our jeep tours very very good as well as the 1 hour camel ride. (Will never forget).
The trip to Wadi Rum was the highlight of the Jordan trip for me and my friend. We did the 6h jeep tour and it was definitely worth it. Then we went back to the tent to enjoy our time!! Dinner just to watch the endless stars. We slept like children in the quiet of the desert. It wouldn't have been so charming had it not been for the wonderful host and tour guide. I hope to come back one day and recommend this camp and book your trips from inside the camp
Wadi Rum
Three days in Wadi Rum were definitelly the best part of our Jordan trip. Wadi Rum is unbeliavable magical place with many interesting places to see, desert cruising with a jeep is a amazing adventure. Our guide was friendly guy and he liked to joke so the day was full of fun. Nights in a bedouin camp with stars overhead, when the nature went to sleep and there was complete silence all around was the unforgettable moment for the rest of our lives. David and Nikol.
At star wars camp you can order meals (local dinner and breakfast) and a trip in a jeep or camels in the desert. Highly recommended jeep tour (obligatory with Mr. Karim who is an amazing photographer, the best driver and most importantly a genuinely nice guy!). The jeep tour was one of the coolest adventures while in Jordan. We saw the beauty of the Wadi Rum desert and learned a bit about the Bedouins. Jeep tour with Mr Karim highly recommended!
Wadi Rum
Best experience we had in Jordan. The camp is small and placed in a beautiful corner of the Wadi Rum desert. The size of the camp gives you an intimate feeling and Rashid and Sabah made sure we had an amazing time. We took a full day jeep tour and saw all the main highlights of the desert. Campfires at night when the weather is good, and drinking tea and playing games when a sandstorm hits. It felt like home!
Wadi Rum
I don't write reviews all that often. I thought Wadi rum was amazing, and the camp exceeded all my expectations. Mohammad was so nice and welcoming and the hotel itself was out of this world. Honestly, no words to describe how good it was. Definitely recommend. It's worth going if you want the true bedouin experience but with the comfort of a 5 star hotel. The bubble (superior room) was great.
Wadi Rum
We loved EVERYTHING about our stay. We had a lovely dinner with traditional Jordan food and a wonderful breakfast too. The place is amazing and the host does everything to make your stay confortable. we had the opportunity to ride camels (a must!!!) and visit the wadi rum on open jeep for 4 hours. it was incredible, we are so sad to leave and will always cherish the memory of this place <3
Rum legnend Camp was the highlight of our trip to Jordan. the staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.the room was clean and the bathroom super clean the food was delicious and prepared on site. I thoroughly enjoyed the desert Safari ride and would go again if time had allowed. I would recommend the camp to anyone staying in Wadi Rum.
Wadi Rum
We were satisfied with everything. Like an oasis in the middle of the desert. We felt safe with our guide and well taken care of. Nearing the end of our stay in Jordan, Khaled's camp was the cherry on top of our 2 week trip. Thank you for answering some of our questions about Bedouin culture and letting us listen to your traditional Bedouin music on the speakers.
Wadi Rum
We loved everything about our stay with Raed in Wadi Rum Bedouin camp. Wadi Rum is so spectacular and we had an amazing jeep tour and sunset. Raed and the other staff were incredibly nice and hospitable. the food was plentiful, but not haut Cuisine but exactly as we expected. Hot showers and good bathroom facility. For sure our most spectacular spot in Jordan.
Wadi Rum
Great location, right behind the Mars movie mountains and overlooking the desert - great views! The hotel staff so so welcoming and helpful, really was a big relief! They helped organize the tour for us as well. People, there are many scammers in Wadi Rum, trust these guys, they're to the point and straight in their dealings! Beds also comfortable!
Wadi Rum
We had a fantastic stay at this camp! If you want to experience the Wadi Rum area in a more culturally authentic way, this is the place for you. No WiFi and no hot water but take a jeep tour, ride a camel, let them make you a cup of tea in the middle of the desert and watch the sunset. These memories will last a lifetime.
Wadi Rum
Wadi Rum Star Camp was a highlight of my trip in Jordan! All of the staff were EXCEPTIONAL, the food was DELICIOUS, and the views were INCREDIBLE. I loved organizing activities through the staff and did an amazing Jeep tour. The campfire at night was great and all the tea throughout the day was perfect. Thank you!
Wadi Rum
We had a perfect 1-day jeep tour in Wadi Rum desert. We've seen all main points and the whole ride was very comfortable and impressive thanks to Bedouin nights camp team! If it is possible, ask camp's team to choose the Nissan patrol roof for trip, unforgettable impressions :)
Wadi Rum
I booked one night at wadi rum camp, it was one of the most beautiful nights I've ever spent in my life. The tours are wonderful, the camp is very clean, and the rooms are more beautiful than hotels in the cities, despite their presence in the desert
