Honestly, my two nights at Azumino Bear's Inn were just the best. It's one of those rare places where you feel instantly at home, but everything is somehow better. The room itself was perfect. It felt like a super cool, cozy cabin with a consistent, adorable bear theme everywhere — you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. It's totally private with its own entrance and everything you need inside: a powerful shower, a Japanese smart toilet, and even a washing machine with easy-to-use detergent pods that smelled great. The room was fully stocked with a fridge, microwave, stove, and all the necessary tools, which was super handy. The beds were firm and comfortable with the fluffiest blankets. Plus, the fast Wi-Fi and Smart TV with Netflix made it easy to relax. I loved the little touches that made a huge difference. There were eco-friendly wooden toothbrushes, high-quality, nice-smelling shower products, chocolates, and complimentary water and tea in the fridge. Earplugs were also provided, though they weren’t needed because the baby was so quiet. Bikes were available to use as well. Finally, the location is gorgeous. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, and the night sky was incredible — we saw so many stars. I'm already planning my next trip back to see the area in a different season. I can't recommend Azumino Bear's Inn enough!

A great place to stay in Azumino. The host Akira is wonderfully kind, and speaks great English. I booked last minute and Akira went out of his way to make my stay as smooth and easy as possible. The guesthouse is also walking distance to a great supermarket, and Hotaka Station is just 10 mins away on foot.
