The house was spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. The villa is close to Lotte Arai resort (about 5 minute drive) and the managers of the villa were extremely helpful in arranging transport for our group with a neighbour, who was charming and helpful. The manager also arranged dinner for us at a local restaurant which usually only offers lunch and this was a very special experience for us. The drying room was excellent for our ski gear. From the house are views of the surrounding rice fields and up to the mountains.

Lotte Arai Resort is set in Myoko. The accommodation provides a ski pass sales point and ski-to-door access, as well as a bar and a spa and wellness centre.

Very lush, this was a really nice experience but of course, that comes with a cost. Everything was exceptional the room was stunning, facilities great, not to mention the skiing. Included breakfast had everything you could possibly want, catering to all tastes :-)

Set in Joetsu, やどバーTATSUJi has a bar. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

Active Life Madarao is an excellent value-for-money stay with a very convenient location near the ski resort and right beside the bus stop, making travel to nearby areas easy. The hotel has a cozy, home-like atmosphere with practical facilities for skiers, and the king-sized bed was surprisingly large and very comfortable, allowing us to rest well and feel fully recharged for the next day. What truly made our stay special was the exceptional hospitality, Lisa and the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond, and this alone is the reason we would happily book here again in the future.

Komatsuya Seki Onsen in Myoko has 3-star accommodation with a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar.

A beautiful room with very friendly and kind staff! David and his team helped us out with lifts to and from Akakura Onsen and were super accommodating. The food was also delicious, and the room was comfortable and well equipped.
