Hotel is located near the train staition (could be said directly at it). Some reviewers said that sounds from the station were annoying but we didn't hear any. The room was small but we didn't have an issue with that. The bed was big and comfortable. We appreciated the hangers for the coats near the entrance.

It was like staying in a fancy 80s hotel at a backpackers price! The concierge walked me to the check-in and a porter carried my bags to the room, quite amazing for 5000-ish yen a night. The room was much bigger than in a modern hotel, it had proper timber furniture and there was a real bathroom with tiles and marble. The lobby is quite dazzling. It is a ten-minute walk to downtown with a peaceful path along the river in the other direction. I would go back in a heartbeat, I could even imagine living there!

Staff are all so nice and kind

Average Japanese hotel. Rooms are a little small, but perfectly functional for a one night stay. Very conveniently located near the train station and an abundance of restaurants. On sight parking and easy access to the ferry port (30 mins on foot) were just what we needed for our trip.

Always love Dormy Inn. Good baths, great breakfast, comfortable room. Nothing not to like.

The location is great, lots of shopping right outside the hotel. The river just a few minutes away by foot. Ferry to Sado Island is just a 25-minute walk from the hotel.

The Furo Is very clean, rooms are clean the hôtel Is very closed from station.

It was very spacious in Japanese standards, I really appreciate how I can both work and sleep well in my room.Plus, the location is just 5 minutes away which is the big bonus!

Quiet, useful facilities, free breakfast, bathhouse and laundry, staff had good local knowledge, local restaurants close by. All in all great place to stay

Location was convenient to the nearby ski slopes and snow play area. Shuttle bus pick up from echigo station was convenient. Breakfast selection was very good, my favourite part is the onsen of the hotel. There are two different location for onsen, loved the outdoor onsen.

Great location. Right next to Shigakogen ski field and gondola easy to rent ski necessities close by and close to Echigo Yuza station to access the Shinkansen from Tokyo. A fantastic authentic Japanese style hotel with a wonderful hot spring with even an outdoor onsen, varied very traditional dinners which was very much fine dining, and sleeping on futons on a tatami floor. Yukata robes, toothbrushes and amenities all provided. We paid for an early check in.

Excellent value for for money. Excellent customer service. Wonderful attention to detail and we really loved the extra little pamper pack for ladies!
