-Private onsen -Had a great time at the pool (if you do not book directly with the hotel, you need to pay 750 yen each, but definitely worth it). Went at night and had the whole pool to ourselves. The location is fantastic. The availability of horseback riding throughout the valley was the primary reason for our selection of El Patio. The horseback riding experience was terrific. The room was large, modern, clean and very comfortable and with a nice "Western" theme style. The personnel were all very friendly and helpful.

My parents came to visit me from America. This was by far the best accommodation they booked for the trip. It was incredibly roomy and the beds were very comfortable (according to them). I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for accommodation in Aso. I will say that I don't know how convenient it is to get to by public transportation because I drove my car. You have a beautiful view of the mountains from the porch/front door. It's very quiet in the area. The house was incredibly clean and well-stocked (plenty of soap/shampoo, tea, and coffee).

The front desk staff were excellent. In particular, one of the ladies (from Nepal) spoke excellent English and went out of her way to help us make a car ferry reservation. Breakfast and dinner buffets were good. As were the onsen facilities.
