Biei Shirogane no Yu is located in the Shirogane Onsen district in Biei, 25 mi from Asahikawa and 16 mi from Furano. Free private parking is available on site. This is a great place to stay in the Biei area - if you have your own transport. The common lounge / kitchen areas are great and the rooms are comfortable enough - we stayed in Japanese tatami style rooms. Fukiage open air onsen is a short drive up the road and in good weather the views up to the Daisetzusan national park are beautiful.
Yumoto Shirogane-Onsen Hotel offers tranquil Japanese-style rooms, hot spring baths and Japanese cuisine, while free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. Natural onsen very nice, both indoor and outdoor. Free transportation to town is a great service, both drop off and pickup. Very much appreciated.
Offering a restaurant and free bikes, Adagio Hokkaido is surrounded by beautiful forests in Biei. Free 5-minute shuttles from JR Biei Station can be arranged upon advance request. The room is very clean and spacious, giving me a feeling of being home. The pension is surrounded by beautiful nature and peaceful atmosphere.

It's a beautiful place that is best visited during summer where the air is cool and the sun is bright and the fields are lush and welcoming. I rented an electronic bicycle and loved riding it through the fields of Biei - it was such a beautiful place. The Shirahige waterfall and bluepond is kinda small and far out but still worth taking a look if you are around the area and drive. Public transport to the 2 place are quite terrible because the JR train schedule does not align with the bus timing at all. I will blog and vlog more about my trip on my blog if I have time.
There are so many scenic lookouts and tourist places in the area. Farms are absolutely beautiful and driving on a road to mount Tokachi (Blue pond is also on the way) has good view as well. Cycling is also nice in summer season, but I recommend to rent a car if you are with kids or elder person since there are so many hills to climb :)
Utterly breathtaking place to take in the sights, taste the wonderful produce, and enjoy the hospitality of its people !!!!!! Awesome cycling... Especially along route 966 and furano national highway 237
Our happiest time was able to visit Blue Pond and also the patchwork flower farm Wish we had more days in Biei. Local trains and buses are far too few and infrequent. We took train to Asahikawa to have lunch and dinner and then back to Biei where we stayed
The area around Biei was very beautiful, with plenty to see and do. We went to Asahidake Onsen from there. You could also easily get to a city (Asahikawa) if needed. Biei town itself is rather workaday and restaurants were limited, but this was not a surprise.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and made a great host. Breakfast was very simple but healthy food! Our whole family enjoyed it. We stayed in a little cabin that was separate from the main building. It had a small attic that could fit one person. That was very exciting for our boy. There was a small picnic table and bench outside our cabin. In the morning. It was nice to just sit there and feel the morning breeze. The place is run as a B&B style. The whole place was very peaceful and quiet. Although it's just next to the road, you won't be able to tell at all as it's not a major road and there aren't many cars going past. The location is close to the attractions around Biei.
