Sakamoto-san was very nice. I arrived by bus and he offered to drive me to the supermarket and various other places. Every evening I could enjoy a traditional japanese bath. The surrounding area is beautiful.

The owner was so lovely and helpful. pointed out local places to see etc. the place itself is very traditional and you feel like you are really in Japan here. we had the place to ourselves, so it was really quiet, but our room was open to the stairs above the walls to the shared kitchen below, but eveyone goes to bed early anyway.

The very friendly owner welcomed me and showed me around. It was a large room in a comfortable house. The shower was clean, large and powerful. Very quiet at night. Beautiful artwork in the large garage where I could park my bicycle. Very rural area.

Deep in beautiful countryside. I went by car, but actually realised would be surprisingly accessible by public transport as a small JR station is very close by. Miwa-san was a truly lovely lady – exceptionally kind, and also interested in overseas culture. Much of the delicious food was home produced – homegrown rice from the paddy field in front of the house, home-made jams and bread, and home dried persimmons.
