強羅溫泉旅館-金閣莊, barhotel Hakone Kazan, and Hakone Villa Bizan got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Hakone.
Hakone is great for hiking. Tourist stuff like lake sailing and ropeway to the volcano. It has amazing museums and onsens. Also has the old historical Tokaiko highway and very traditional cultural stores and temples. I have been there 3 times and I am always finding new things to explore. It is a fast trip from Tokyo and with the Hakone Pass ads value for money.
Hakone has many to offer ...from beautiful scenic views, food,Mt Fuji and many landscape photography spots. A lot of walking trails ...please bring along a walking stick if going to more less walking trails. Overall a wonderful experience and would love to visit this place in next Spring.
A great place for a quick escape from the concrete jungle of Tokyo. There is a bus service from Tokyo that takes you to Hakone in 2 hours. One can also take the train. Some hotels are located just next to the bus stops.
We have been to Hakone several times and always enjoy the Nature, the scenery and the fresh air. But it is a heavily used tourist area and we like to be away from people when we can to enjoy Nature and relax. We have found some areas that are more quiet and peaceful.
There was a great variety of things to do. We loved using the ropeway, exploring the Open Air Museum and visiting the Wetland Gardens. Finding a place to eat in the evenings was not easy. Perhaps this was connected to covid or because we stayed mid week.
Hakone is a great getaway from busy Tokyo life, not too far, with various options of travel and accomodation. There are quite a few things to see, from lake, through sulful fields, to Hakone Open Air museum of art - pretty much everyone will find something to enjoy. Gora park is very underrated, it is beautiful and well taken care of. So if you can, book yourself a room with private onsen, after being a tourist and walking around you can just relax and enjoy the bath.
This is a great little property - very near Gora Station. Just go through the small tunnel adjacent to the station and Emblem Flow is right there. We are so happy with the twin room - very generous space, very clean, and with a private toilet and bath. The onsen is adequate. Went there shortly after it opened and had the entire onsen to myself. The best part - the staff. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and can communicate well in English. I will definitely consider this hotel next time i visit Hakone.
Hakone
This was our second stay in the hotel as it is so convenient, right beside the Hakone train station so no lugging cases and backpacks up the mountain on the bus. The bed was super comfy and room larger than we expected. The buffet breaky was good diverse mix of east and Japanese foods. The Onsen was great, we booked a private room and it was perfect. It’s a classic well cared for hotel on the hill, loved it.
Hakone
Perfect location. 7 min walking from Hakone-Yumoto train station and bus stops. Everything you need for relaxing weekend: onsen (hot spring) indoor and outdoor, beautiful nature around (awesome view from the window), kind staff, tasty breakfast (should be ordered in advance), kettle and tea in the room to enjoy fully a calm evening after onsen. Wi-fi is only available in the lobby!
Hakone
The atmosphere in the hostel was great! It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the nature of Hakone. The Onsen which you can use is really great and the shared rooms had a beautiful towards the Japanese garden outside. At last but not least the service was great. The staff supported us with their knowledge to find good hiking trails and recommend nice restaurants.
Hakone
A nice getaway from the busy cities all the way up in the mountain! It’s also right next to a bus stop to take you to Lake Ashi and the shuttle can take you straight to Hakone Yumoto station of ya wanted to check other things out! This property is next to a beautiful river and simmering in a hot spring next to it is such a sight ❣️
Hakone
The Japanese style room with the private onsen on the balcony and mountain view was incredible. The hotel bar with the footbath was also very nice, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were even able to accomodate my wife's dietary restrictions for breakfast and dinner on short notice.
Hakone
Traditional breakfast was great, and the private outdoor onsen option was nice as well. The public onsen was nice too. Views were gorgeous since it was basically the highest hotel in Hakone. Room was especially gorgeous!! Tatami was clean and I loved the chairs.
Hakone
Fantastic breakfast. Huge room and bathroom. Many in room amenities like Japanese night wear. Have onsen. Welcome drink at nice restaurant with view. Very convenient location beside Hakone lake and with view of Mount Fuji. Near bus station.
Hakone
The location was ideal for exploring Hakone. And the staff friendly and helpful. The price point was reflective of the standard of the hotel rooms. The Onsen was a lovely addition and I used it several times.
Great hotel meeting most expectations at that level, great room and comfort, great location by the lake, nice outdoor onsen, delicious food. Staff showed a lot of hospitality the Japanese way.
Amazing traditional Japanese experience in the heart of Hakone. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room with the private onsen was not only beatiful but also clean and comfortable.
Hakone
I loved the private onsen on site and how clean everything was. I liked how helpful and polite the staff were and breakfast and dinner was great at the hotel.
Nice hotel in the area but honestly was not worth the price tag. It was nice to have a private onsen since majority of us are covered in tattoos.
Hakone
The room was really nice, and it was great to have your own onsen in the room - since the hotel does not allow tattoos. Staff was very friendly.
Hakone
Nice view over the lake, the private onsen on our balcony was amazingly relaxing, comfortable room, good location to explore Hakone from.
Hakone
The hotel was a little bit old but it’s room & facilitiesare very clean & tidy. They have the best onsen.
Hakone
Had a quick getaway with the wife and baby, and were treated to a great stay! Room was very spacious and comfortable. Outdoor onsen was super relaxing and tranquil. The dinner served was MASSIVE, tasty, and authentic. The hotel also took great precautions against COVID which was good to see. Our trip wasn't long enough!
The location was absolutely incredible. The view of Mt Fuji was stunning, even from the onsen. The room was huge, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
Hakone
Great onsen. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Fantastic experience.
