We chose this hotel, pretty much at the last minute. And honestly, it was a huge success and surprise for us. This is an old-school vintage hotel, yet it has all the great services and amentias of a modern hotel. and especially the staff was remarkable. Obscenely spacious family rooms with a great view of the Japanese alps. It's true it's isolated and on a hill overlooking Takayama but a shuttle service for free by the hotel to and from the local train station. Parking was spacious and in abundance. Great hotel all in all

We stayed 11 nights. I cooked most of our dinners..grocery stores close and interesting! Japanese breakfast outstanding! The staff responded quickly to all our questions! Easy walk from train station. The weather was cold and the flat was warm and cozy! A real opportunity to stay in a neighborhood. Great butcher shop good coffee..okay bakeries!!! It was a a delightful experience ‼️❤️
