While the overall facilities may not be particularly modern, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and commend the hotel's dedication to guest satisfaction. **Note: This Japanese-style motel is designed with privacy in mind; people rarely need to meet or speak to the staff before entering the room. The in-room cashier machine is in Japanese, and the staff may primarily speak only Japanese. Therefore, those who do not speak the language at all may find it challenging to stay here. The smell of cigarettes in the room is common. Fortunately, a powerful exhaust fan is installed in the ceiling to reduce the odour, although it's quite noisy. The fan switch is located near the bed, turning it off before bed, so you can sleep well in a quiet and peaceful place.

This was a well located hotel close the historic centre. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back with pleasure

The staff are so friendly, kind and helpful. The breakfast is great. The location is convenient, it's right on the road in front of the Kurashiki station, and closed to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Spot Quarter.

This was certainly one of our best hotel experiences in Japan! Upgraded our room to the suite when we were there- because the courtyard was so beautiful. For design lovers, the attention to detail was immaculate and such an inspiration. The balance of traditional architecture and modern design was breathtaking. Opened only 6 months ago! What a gem. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. We got Japanese breakfasts on both mornings instead of the Western. To get there, we took a bus from Kurashiki station to a bus stop 3-5 mins walk to Yoruya.

It was a good experience from the beginning! The building itself and the lobby/entrance is very modern and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they made me feel very welcome. The room itself was great; spacious (for 1 person), clean, and comfortable bed. The view I had from my room was amazing too! The location is the best part, easy short walk to/from the train station and the historical district for tourist sightseeing. Many restaurants and convenience stores right next door too. This place is great value for money.

Excellent room, I accidentally booked a smoking room, but the room itself was clean and didn't smell of smoke. Vending machine in the hallway was convenient. Walking distance from the station, restaurants and historical quarter.

Great service and accomodations.

Rooms were clean, staff were friendly. Close to the train tracks but didn’t hear a noise. It’s Japan so the rooms were small but there were comfortable.

Right in the middle of Bikan district. Perfect to explore the area. The room is actually a suite with a kitchen area, has a washer/dryer inside. It could work perfectly for a family with two or even three small children thanks to the couch/sofa bed. There is a breakfast restaurant in the first floor and a small 6 seat sake bar (not loud at all). The staff was super welcoming and helpful with local recommendations.

The hot spring is super relaxing, very good after a whole day's trip. The free raman in the night and the welcoming peach juice are all very satisfying. Definitely recommend this hotel.
