The room was absolutely clean and filled with an abundance of towels, garbage cans, and toiletries. It was massively spacious and filled with light from lots of windows. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great for getting around the city. We had absolutely no problems with check in or anything else.

Loved Hiroshima, definitely one of my most favorite cities...

Loved Hiroshima, definitely one of my most favorite cities in Japan. People warm and laid-back. Found it to be one of the most peaceful cities I have ever visited in my life, even with it's very tragic and heartbreaking history, maybe that is why, locals feel the need to live life peaceful and as stress free as possible. Highly recommend a visit.

Hiroshima was fascinating, for obvious reasons. I did not expect to find it so beautiful though, and it has left me with the impression of a prosperous and culturally interesting city. I hope to come back for a longer stay.

Plenty to do in 3 full days.

Plenty to do in 3 full days. Hiroshima Memorial Park and Museum are a must. We went to Miyajima Island. Get away from the throngs of people and it's great. The museums and garden are definitely worth a visit. Restaurants are plentiful and good. Easy getting around with the tram.

I only stayed for a couple of days, but it was enough to visit the atomic bomb dome, the peace museum and nearby Miyajima. I think that Hiroshima should be a must-visit city for everyone who wants to understand Japan at least a little. The people are warm, the city is amazing and the history is deeply moving. I ate some amazing okonomiyaki at Takanobashi Hassho, a very small hole-in-the-wall shop with an amazing owner who has been doing it for decades. Be careful though as there is no english menu. Although, the owner tries his best to understand english and will joke with you to make you feel at home. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I really love Hiroshima.

I really love Hiroshima. It’s probably my second or third favorite city in Japan after Tokyo. Hiroshima is perfect for people who like a city that isn’t too noisy, with wide pedestrian streets, beautiful parks, and riverside areas. The shopping here is also excellent, in my opinion. I’m not a shopaholic, but it feels like the city has all the brands you need. It’s very pleasant to get around the city by bicycle, which I really enjoy. There are mountains, islands, and the sea all around - for nature lovers, it’s basically paradise. And with a short train ride, you can reach one of Japan’s most famous cycling routes: the Shimanami Kaido. Overall, I absolutely love Hiroshima and will definitely recommend this city to all my friends.

Hiroshima is a must do, whilst in Japan.

Hiroshima is a must do, whilst in Japan. To get the most out of your stay, I would recommend 2 nights. On day 1 we arrived at the train station and booked a Guru walk in the afternoon to get a feel for the area and some history before visiting the museum the next day. We booked an early visit for the next morning. Be prepared for a confronting and solemn experience. We then booked the Miyajima ferry which leaves from the Hiroshima dock and spent the rest of the day on the island.

Check-in was easy and done via a machine. Next to Hiroshima station so very convenient for public transport as well as shopping. The room was high quality, and probably more considered a larger hotel room compared to what we have stayed in over our travels across Japan. Great value for money, with additional toiletries including skin care available to take as needed from the lobby. There was also information available in the room for local activities and sites to visit.

Stayed here as a couple looking for a cheap room in Hiroshima and to try out this quite uniquely Japanese concept - and was really surprised just how good it was. We got the private room with two bunks (just a curtain to separate you from the rest) - which was good for the two of us. The beds are comfy, and the blind is great for keeping out light. Hotel staff are nice and rest of facilities are good quality.

So convenient to be able to get off a train and be essentially at your hotel. There are signs in Hiroshima station which direct you to the hotel, just make sure you go to the right one as there is Hotel Granvia and Hotel Granvia South Gate. The staff were so friendly and stored my luggage throughout the day for me before I could check in.
