Guests at Miyako Hotel enjoy use of a public bath and Japanese restaurant. Just 400 metres from Meitetsu Inuyama Train Station, it offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and a bathtub. The room was super clean and quite comfortable. The room had its own bath tub, which I liked. Breakfast (available for 800¥ both as a Japanese or Western style) was good value and delicious. The service was very polite.
Set in Inuyama, 1.9 km from Meiji Mura Museum, Iruka no Sato Musica offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a garden. Food was amazing, both dinner and breakfast. Very good Japanese experience. Staff were all amazing and reasonably good in English. I also visited the hot bath and had it all to myself during the late and early hours. Which was nice, to make up to not having a shower / bath in the room.
Offering free WiFi and free private parking, 犬山モダンルーム is set in Inuyama, within just 1.7 km of Japan Monkey Park. The apartment is big, beautiful and comfortable. The area is very nice and quiet, just close to the river, and easily reachable walking from the station. As well the Inuyama castle and old town are only 10 minutes away by walking. The hosts are welcoming and super kind. Highly recommended!
1.6 km from Japan Monkey Park, 犬山ゲストハウス かわち。 is located in Inuyama and offers air-conditioned rooms. Providing a shared lounge, the property is located within 2.3 km of Japan Monkey Center. No breakfast was included, but the restaurant street of Inuyama is in 5 minute walking distance. The location is very central in Inuyama. So even if you've already seen places in Inuyama, you can take the Meitetsu train from the nearby station to nearby Gifu or Nagoya. The Guesthouse is a traditional, albeit older Ryokan. Nevertheless, the owners have made strides to modernize the second floor for guests. It is cozy with a commons room, a lavaratory, a sink with a hair dryer, air conditioner and very fluffy and customizable futons. Additionally the owners are very very friendly and approachable.
Enjoyed the castle, Meiji Mura (museum of reconstructed buildings - allow a whole day) and the evening cormorant fishing (which is seasonal). Note that the rail network is not included on the Japanese Rail pass and although easy to access it is an additional cost.
We walked along the river from Inuyamayuen to Inuyama station and it was lovely with sakura trees almost all the way . Leisurely walk with photo taking as well together with picnic. Beautiful and wonderful experience ! At Inuyama station there was a shopping mall called CASA, that has a supermarket and eateries that were cheaper than in the city . So we shopped and ate at the basement restaurants there too ! It was so good that after we left Inuyama Yuen for Nagoya , we still took a day trip back the next day with Meitetsu line that cost only 600 yen non reserved seats, which took only half an hour train ride from city- it was very easy access !
The Meitetsu Hotel is actually out of Inuyama by one stop on the train. There is a shuttle to the hotel from the station so reasonably convenient. The Castle is a very pleasant stroll from the hotel and the main street that leads back to Inuyama is about 2Kms of tourist shops and cafes and restaurants of all calibres. If you like tofu then try the local speciality... there are a couple of "classier" (read more expensive) places opposite the gates of the castle
