It is a beautiful hotel with peaceful gardens. The staff are friendly and attentive. The breakfast was excellent. We did not use the onsen or fitness centers but they looked excellent. The equipment in the fitness center was very high end and new.

A lovely Old japanstyle hotel. The room was warm and cosy, with a stunning view over the sea. We had a nice hot bath when we arrived. The host and hostess were fantastic. So helpful and caring. They made us a delicious dinner and explained how to eat the different food. We also had a nice breakfast. A place we highly recommend.

EXCELLENT LOCATION - few blocks away from shopping malls so I was able to go shopping, go back to the hotel to drop off my bags, take a little rest, then go shop again. There are also a lot of dining options (i.e. Yamachan) and convenience store (7-11 and Family Mart) nearby. SPACIOUS ROOM - it was my first time staying at APA hotel but I had stayed at other budget hotels before. I would say this is the most spacious room I've stayed in. I was able to leave my medium size luggage open on the floor and still have a lot of space to move around. AMENITIES - I also quite enjoyed using the Yukata provided. Coffee/tea and toiletries are replenished everyday.

Loved our comfy family room with tatami area and futons. The sento (public bath) was wonderful: really nice natural rock style bath and lovely washing areas. The sento is well used by guests including kids so definitely family friendly. This hotel has so many extras: free late night ramen service (21:30-23:00), free ice cream after bath, free manga library in the lounge. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the chef at breakfast was especially nice. What a great stay.

This time, the room was enormous compared to my previous stay. At the front desk, there is a large selection of additional pillows free of charge, and I liked the one I picked as a great addition to a standard room one. The most I valued that staff stored my luggage after checkout free of charge, and I picked it up late in the evening, right before heading for the flight.

I absolutely fell in love with Nagoya during this trip—the city has such a perfect blend of energy, charm, and comfort. Everything felt welcoming, convenient, and easy to explore, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. I will definitely return to Nagoya and stay here again on my next visit.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable with good shower, all that we needed for a good night sleep. There were free coffee and tea provided at the reception area as in other hotels. Only a 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the Terminal 1 departure hall was incredible, can't think of a better option than staying here. Breakfast starts at 6am which is earlier than the few hotels we have stayed during the trip.

A lovely and medium-sized city, although there are not many scenic spots within the city, it is a wonderful stopover place for one night. It has a beautiful city park (豐橋公園) with pretty 500 Sakura trees. You may go visiting nearby famous temple 豐川稻荷 (妙嚴寺) and transfer to the scenic railroad branch line JR飯田線.

I was here 6 years ago and just recently came back. If you’re looking for the one piece thousand sunny boat, it is no longer there. It was a surprise delight when we first came here there is a conservation of the local eagles and you see them flying freely like a typical neighbor.

I came to see some historical sites in the local area.

I came to see some historical sites in the local area. One of them was Meiji-mura, which is located next to a lake, off the beaten path. The park contains a large collection of historical buildings relocated from around Japan, it's a very picturesque facility with lots of trees and the buildings are well maintained. The park is rather hilly, so it might be a challenge for anyone who has mobility issues, although it has train and bus service to help get from one end to the other. I happened to go on a weekday, and several of the restaurants were closed and the upper-level train wasn't running; anyone hoping to spend a day when everything is open and operating should verify in advance, but might want to plan to go on a weekend. My car navigation system delivered me to the north entrance (at the top of the photo of the map), which seemed to be a lesser used entrance; that said, I didn't make it to the other end of the park to see what was down there. As shown in one of the photos, the facility does a better job than most tourist sites in Japan of being multilingual, since the signs that explain each building are also in English, Korean, and Chinese.

Not as well known as some of the other Japanese cities but...

Not as well known as some of the other Japanese cities but worth a stay. Good transport links to other places (Osaka, etc) as it's pretty central but not as touristy. Good things to see like Nagoya castle, Samurai Museum and Toyota Museum (which is really worth seeing). Food s good and affordable (not overinflated as it's not touristy), however it cannot compete with the likes of Osaka for variety and magnificent options.

One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns.

One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!

i really enjoyed everything...the location, the acomodation. the hotel provide everthing. included if you need to drop your luggage to your next hotel in the other city, and you can keep your luggage until you coming back to stay again,,, and they already to put your luggage in your room

Nagoya in Autumn was beautiful.

Nagoya in Autumn was beautiful. I was there to spend time with family however we managed to see quite a lot. Of course Nagoya Castle, the surrounding parks and Nagoya Port. The reason for my visit was to see where my mother lived as a young girl. A great place to visit.

Toyohashi is only about an hour from Nagoya where we live,...

Toyohashi is only about an hour from Nagoya where we live, and yet most people we know have never been there! It's great for a weekend break or even a day trip. We enjoyed visiting a restored house from 1800 years ago, the castle, a plum orchard, the city hall exhibition of the unusual handheld firework made from a bamboo tree, and various other places. Our first visit was for two night, and then we went back for a day trip. We'll probably go again for the Natural History Museum a little way past Toyohashi.
