Location is very good…not too far from Nagoya station. Our room faces the small park in front, so it was really nice to look out into the trees. Staff were nice and polite. And it was easy to find food.

Beautiful unique hotel in the Nagoya tv tower with exceptional service. The welcome sweets and the breakfast were delicious. We didn't try the private access to the tower (hours were 10pm-midnight and 530am-730am while we were there) but our room was very spacious with an amazing view anyway. To top it off, there was easy access to the subway and plenty of great restaurants nearby.

EXCELLENT LOCATION - few blocks away from shopping malls so I was able to go shopping, go back to the hotel to drop off my bags, take a little rest, then go shop again. There are also a lot of dining options (i.e. Yamachan) and convenience store (7-11 and Family Mart) nearby. SPACIOUS ROOM - it was my first time staying at APA hotel but I had stayed at other budget hotels before. I would say this is the most spacious room I've stayed in. I was able to leave my medium size luggage open on the floor and still have a lot of space to move around. AMENITIES - I also quite enjoyed using the Yukata provided. Coffee/tea and toiletries are replenished everyday.

Loved our comfy family room with tatami area and futons. The sento (public bath) was wonderful: really nice natural rock style bath and lovely washing areas. The sento is well used by guests including kids so definitely family friendly. This hotel has so many extras: free late night ramen service (21:30-23:00), free ice cream after bath, free manga library in the lounge. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and the chef at breakfast was especially nice. What a great stay.

The rooftop onsen was a lovely surprise. The washroom (and toilet specifically) was simply amazing. And the room amenities were more than you need. Location had everything you need nearby, including walking distance to the castle grounds/sumo tournament. The in-house sandwiches are good when everything else is closed. And there is a great coffee/breakfast spot two blocks away towards the castle.

Nagoya is a city rich in history and culture, with excellent public transportation that makes it easy to explore. During my trip, I visited many of its highlights, including Atsuta Jingu, Tokugawa Garden, Nagoya Castle, the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, as well as the nearby Inuyama and Tokoname. I especially enjoyed experiencing both the modern cityscape and the city’s historical side. I traveled with my parents, who are discerning food lovers, and they absolutely loved the food in Nagoya! We tried: * Jojoen – Japanese Wagyu barbecue * Yabaton – Miso pork cutlet (miso katsu) * Atsuta Horaiken – Grilled eel over rice (hitsumabushi) * Sekai no Yamachan – Nagoya-style chicken wings Unfortunately, my trip wasn’t long enough, and a typhoon began approaching, bringing rain from the second day onward. Even so, I had a wonderful time and would gladly return to discover more of what Nagoya has to offer.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable with good...

The room was basic but clean and comfortable with good shower, all that we needed for a good night sleep. There were free coffee and tea provided at the reception area as in other hotels. Only a 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the Terminal 1 departure hall was incredible, can't think of a better option than staying here. Breakfast starts at 6am which is earlier than the few hotels we have stayed during the trip.

I came to see some historical sites in the local area.

I came to see some historical sites in the local area. One of them was Meiji-mura, which is located next to a lake, off the beaten path. The park contains a large collection of historical buildings relocated from around Japan, it's a very picturesque facility with lots of trees and the buildings are well maintained. The park is rather hilly, so it might be a challenge for anyone who has mobility issues, although it has train and bus service to help get from one end to the other. I happened to go on a weekday, and several of the restaurants were closed and the upper-level train wasn't running; anyone hoping to spend a day when everything is open and operating should verify in advance, but might want to plan to go on a weekend. My car navigation system delivered me to the north entrance (at the top of the photo of the map), which seemed to be a lesser used entrance; that said, I didn't make it to the other end of the park to see what was down there. As shown in one of the photos, the facility does a better job than most tourist sites in Japan of being multilingual, since the signs that explain each building are also in English, Korean, and Chinese.

A lovely and medium-sized city, although there are not many scenic spots within the city, it is a wonderful stopover place for one night. It has a beautiful city park (豐橋公園) with pretty 500 Sakura trees. You may go visiting nearby famous temple 豐川稻荷 (妙嚴寺) and transfer to the scenic railroad branch line JR飯田線.

I was here 6 years ago and just recently came back. If you’re looking for the one piece thousand sunny boat, it is no longer there. It was a surprise delight when we first came here there is a conservation of the local eagles and you see them flying freely like a typical neighbor.

Most people skip Nagoya and head straight to Kyoto. Big mistake... There is lots to see in Nagoya and it is definitely worth stopping off for a couple of days. The culinary scene in Nagoya is one of the best in Japan.

One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!

i really enjoyed everything...the location, the acomodation.

i really enjoyed everything...the location, the acomodation. the hotel provide everthing. included if you need to drop your luggage to your next hotel in the other city, and you can keep your luggage until you coming back to stay again,,, and they already to put your luggage in your room

A "regular" city that doesn't have as many attractions as...

A "regular" city that doesn't have as many attractions as Osaka or Tokyo, but you still have Legoland and Nagashima Spa Land, markets, a castle and an aquarium. There's a lot of good and diverse restaurants in the city. Connects easily to both sides of Japan (east and west). In my opinion the science museum isn't that good but kids will probably enjoy it.

Toyohashi is only about an hour from Nagoya where we live,...

Toyohashi is only about an hour from Nagoya where we live, and yet most people we know have never been there! It's great for a weekend break or even a day trip. We enjoyed visiting a restored house from 1800 years ago, the castle, a plum orchard, the city hall exhibition of the unusual handheld firework made from a bamboo tree, and various other places. Our first visit was for two night, and then we went back for a day trip. We'll probably go again for the Natural History Museum a little way past Toyohashi.
