Hotel in Nagasaki
Opened in September 2014, Hotel Forza Nagasaki is nonsmoking hotel located in the center of Nagasaki, a 3-minute stroll from Shianbashi area and China Town. The hotel offers free WiFi access. 1. Location — EXCELLENT. The hotel is right on top of a shopping strip. Plenty of food and shopping right at the doorstep. Tram stop is right outside the hotel entrance, so touring around the city was very convenient. 2. Noise — NONE. Being at a central, busy location, i was worried that the hotel might be loud but it was quite the opposite. The room was very quiet. They even published an apology notice that some rooms were undergoing renovations during our stay and we might hear the construction noise, but even then we did not hear anything. 3. Room amenities — 5 stars. The room we booked was a twin room (for 2). It was very spacious by Japanese standards. There was plenty of room for our 2 large luggages and 2 carry-ons (which is not usually the case in hotels in Japan). Room layout was also excellent - sitting area, fridge and coffee/tea making facilities were efficiently separated from the sleeping area. 4. Cleanliness. Room was cleaned daily; towels were changed daily as well. 5. Buffet breakfast. Sufficient western and Japanese options. Dessert options were good too. 6. Check-in / Check out. Check in was fast and easy. I arrived earlier than the prescribed check-in time, and they did not allow me to check in early, but it was fine as i did not request this in my booking. They did agree to keep our bags first while we toured the city first and returned at a later time for check-in. Staff was very friendly, and spoke english well. Check out was a breeze. The staff was very helpful in helping us book a taxicab back to the Nagasaki train station.

Located in Nagasaki and with Nagasaki Museum of History reachable within a 15-minute walk, hotel H2 TRIP&BUSINESS NAGASAKI provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi... I loved my stay at H2. It's a beautiful modern hotel with touches of Japan here and there like a Japanese garden in the first floor before you ascend to reception and that gives you a hint of what is to come. Reception is also beautifully decorated with Japanese motifs and staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything is very sober, clean and light and I loved that. Rooms are descend-sized and bed was very comfortable. Restaurant staff was extremely friendly and their smiles and customer-service attitude made our day. Too bad we only ate there once. The price is fair and the buffet is very good.

There was a snowstorm so I did not see much, but the city looked very interesting and lively. Nice people and interesting cultural spots. Amazing seafood. I heard the onsens are great. Chinatown is also interesting! I will definitely come back.
Nagaskai is amazing! rich in history and culture. many hidden cafes dotted around the city that offer good food and drink. north of the station offers mostly the Atomic bomb related areas which are greatly educational and you can be given maps as to how to see them all in which order best. south of the station many Dutch and Chinese influenced buildings and attractions. China town is just a street with several Chinese restaurants and a Ghibli store but perfect place to get Chanpon. Trams and busses are everywhere and pretty on time so getting around is easy. Went to Battleship island on a boat tour but as was expected we could not go onto the island. If you can find a tour that speaks English because our tour guide didn't and although I speak Japanese they seemed fed up with having us on the tour. Also if you get a little sea sick I would not recommend it because many people were sick during the trip.
A city full of history and great things to see, learn, try and taste. There are so many different faces of this city to see and experiences to have that about a week may not be enough to enjoy what Nagasaki has to offer. Definitely one of the most interesting places to visit in Japan.
Traveling during the quasi-emergency state in Nagasaki was a mixed experience. On the one hand, you got nearly the whole city to yourself, all its quietness and history out in the streets for exploration. On the other hand, that also meant many places were closed, including museums and restaurants. We had to cook the first night, and learned from experience that it'd be best to book dinner early in the morning. Restaurants are required to close at 8pm, so if you are planning to eat out, book and go early. And always call a place to make sure it is open before heading there.
Definitely come outside of main holidays like New Years. The schedules & opening hours for everything gets messed up if you come during those times. Otherwise, a trip to Nagasaki city is really nice to do for the course of 3-4 days. Best to find a hotel next to prime locations and public transportation hubs to make your experience more reasonable. If you’re renting a car, then no need for such a placement!
Very nice and interesting destination with a lot of things to do in the city and nearby areas. Oh, and amazing food and culture! ^_^ Certainly not one of the most visited cities by foreigners in Japan, but recommended if you have already been to the other main Japanese capitals. Worth staying in the city at least two days to explore all the interesting spots and also recommended staying a couple more days to do excursions by car and / or boat in other Nagasaki prefecture areas nearby like Kujukushima, Sasebo, Huis Ten Bosch and Gunkanjima.
Can’t beat the location. Very close to Chinatown and Deshima but also restaurants, supermarket and across the street from tram and bus stops that take you to all sightseeing spots. Parking 2 minutes walk. Facilities in the hotel are much better than your average business hotel (microwave, water cooker, free water in the room) and free coffee and delicious Sonogi tea. Public bath was very comfortable too. Airport bus stops around the corner.
The Sainthill is in a very central location, only a few minutes walk to the station. For the location area, to have a hotel offer parking cheaply overnight is a god-send. The room is of an okay size, but for a hotel in an older building, they keep it well maintained. I went for work, and they allowed me to keep my car parked in their lot for the entirety of the next day until my work was finished.
Couldn’t ask for a better location. Historic Dejima is literally around the corner and tram and bus stops are right outside the doors. There’s a Youme Town mall across the street with tons of restaurants and lots of pretty sights within walking distance. The room itself was your standard hotel room. Clean, comfortable, and very quiet.
The hotel has a prime location to see the beautiful Nagasaki night lights. We were actually given a free room upgrade because of my name. The shuttle service to and from Nagasaki Station is much appreciated. The rooms are larger then most hotels in Japan, in fact the rooms resemble western style Hotels.
The hotel room was excellent, very well laid out and modern. The top floor onsen was a bonus… 2 pools and a dry sauna…all very nice and clean. The location could not have been much better… 100 yards to a Starbucks… short walk to all kinds of covered street shopping and restaurants of all kinds.
Hotel is next to the highway bus terminal which made me easy to take airport bus. located in front of the station and from my window I could see 26 Martyrs- one of the site seeing and religious place
