A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Tako, Masugataya Ryokan is a ryokan surrounded by views of the garden. The property features a terrace, bar, and private parking among other facilities.

I spent 2 weeks at this wonderful traditional Ryokan, not far from Narita airport. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my short holiday at this cozy little Inn and the quaint town of Tako. Everything I needed was within walking distance, and the transportation options to Narita town and to the airport (by public bus) were super convenient. I promised the family who ran the Ryokan to return to their facility early in the coming Spring and I intend to make this my "base camp" for any future excursions to explore this beautiful Country. I highly recommend this little Inn to anyone who travels to Japan via Narita airport ; weather for business or pleasure. Thank you again very much for their generous hospitality. EVERTHING! The staff is young and VERY accommodating! There are enough activities to keep you entertained. We are 78 years old but we played air rifles in the forest. We went sledding down a hill. We made a bamboo lantern. We picked strawberries, sweet potatoes and carrots from a farm. They were conscientious about safety by providing gloves and shoe protection .we chose to stay in a tent but bathroom facilities were great. This was the best part of our trip.

Great converted old buildings, some of which are in great locations. We were overlooking the canal with all the merchant houses. Large Japanese style breakfast with many courses, free fully stocked mini bar. Late check out.
