CanadaSince there was a free bed, the owner let me stay despite going to the wrong building (~10km apart). Google maps gives me 民宿買飾り(in Kunnui) very easily, but ゲストハウス買飾りstay (in Oshamanbe) has to be written this exact way for maps to show it. Since I was looking for Guesthouse 買飾り stay (as it is listed in Booking.com) I couldn't find it. So I turned to japanese thinking 民宿=Guesthouse and I ended up at the wrong place this way.
These two guesthouses are worked by the same company, but my review will be about the one in Kunnui since this is were I ended up staying.
Location was clean, the owner took care of protecting my bicycle from the rain and attempted to dry my shoes with news paper. I slept in japanese style room and you can expect it to be just like it sounds: tatami and futton. To me it is very confortable.
Breakfast (included) was, to me, rich and very good (rice, eggs, miso shiro, salad).
The stay felt just like a minshuku feels like: being at home.
The village of Kunnui doesn't have much going on, but it is very close to both Oshamanbe (reputed for the crab and kani monaka a japanese sweet) and Yakumo (seems to be reputed for its steak).
