I enjoyed visiting the major sights such as the T.V. Tower, the Sapporo Beer Museum, Odori Park, Shiroi Koibito Park/ Ishiya Chocolate Factory , The Museum of Modern Art and the Susukino District. There's much more to see for sure, but so little time! lol. But in my short time there I enjoyed my experience very much! Wonderful City!
Early February (Suppose to coincide with the Sapporo Snow Festival 2022 but was canceled, so made it into a regular adventure). Top 3.5 Highlights: Hill of The Buddha As a Buddhist, this was a combination of beautiful architecture and structure. All year-round, I'm sure it would not be disappointing to visit. Spring with lavenders or winter with meters of snow. Sapporo Art Park (on the way from Hill of the Buddha) Limited access due to snow with the few outdoor sculptures hidden beneath meters of snow. They did have a wonderful snow shoeing activity in the morning and early afternoon. Although, would skip this place during the wintertime for the most part. Moerenuma Park - The Glass Pyramid Art Museum Accidentally walked from the closest bus stop to the west gate instead of the closest entrance at the east gate. What should've been a 15-minute walk turned into more than an hour of trudging around the outskirts of the park. The Museum was breathtaking and beautiful. It did remind me of the Le Louvre on a much smaller scale. Cafe and Restaurant were closed at the time but overall, I still enjoyed it. Mount Moiwa The observation deck was beautiful. Must-see. The night view was better than the one in Kobe (Mt. Rokko). Food Adventure: Hokkaido Milk (Hotcakes, Latte, Ice Cream, Parfait) Snow Crab Lunch Meal Course (Way cheaper than dinnertime) Fresh Seafood and Oysters Hokkaido Beef...etc. For first-time visitors to Japan, I recommend Sapporo first. It's an all-year-round destination with much to offer outside of shopping.
The people of Sapporo and Hokkaido are not your typical Japanese people. They are kind and hospitable like most Japanese but they are much more down-to-earth in Hokkaido. I really like Sapporo, a bit cold and a lot of snow, but I love this city.
The city itself doesn't have too many interesting landmarks, but it is a good place to stay if you are planning to explore Otaru and visit Hokkaido historical village. There are lots of great restaurants and gift shops, make sure you don't miss an opportunity to try local curry soup, ramen and mutton barbeque.
Sapporo has a very comfortable feel with wide streets, open spaces and plenty of greenery. Excellent food available at reasonable prices. It's easy to get around. Otaru is only 40 mins away by train and we enjoyed a day at the Sapporo Art Centre, just 30 mins by subway and bus. Because of the State of Emergency, many restaurants were closed and those open shut early. The Genghis Khan restaurant we were recommended (Daruma) was OK, but the meal was not as delicious as the last time I had it.
There are lots of activities for families and kids, though most indoor attrations are closed on Monday. The public transportation is all reliable, clean, and easy to use without being crowded like Tokyo
We stay at this area many times but this's first time staying here which better than others! Hospitality staff Great selections of breakfast (they used the best ingredients from Hokkaido) Large room Good location (metro just in front of the hotel and airport shuttle bus stop just across the street) And thanks for upgrade room with park view, even we walked in the Nakajima park in day time, the next morning we can enjoyed the beautiful view from our room. We gonna stay this place again for sure!!
Location! The property is directly across Odori Park. Taxis are readily available next to the intersection or passing by. Took the taxi to/from the JR station at a reasonable rate. English speaking staff, room size, cleanliness, etc. were excellent. We bought the western/Japanese breakfast buffet for 1300 yen and it was satisfying. Walking distance to a large fabric store, 3 100 yen stores (Daiso, Seria), dept stores, convenience stores, and other shops. Very reasonable rate.
Large hotel only a short walk from the restaurant/ nightlife area of Sapporo. Very helpful friendly staff who spoke English. They helped us make a reservation for a restaurant and book a bus ticket. Large variety of choice at the breakfast buffet. We had a pizza from one of the hotel restaurants which was really good. There is a small convenience/ souvenir store in the hotel and a Lawson’s convenience store across the street. Room and bathroom were quite large for Japan.
Stuff are all friendly. Hotel desigh is cool, give you a cozy feeling. Number of beds in dormitory are perfect. I love local vibes and peaceful neighborhood. Family Mart is just across the street, plus Max Value Supermarket in the train station. It's only 3-5 min by walk, exit 3 with elevator. Exit 2 is the nearest exit, You can walk through Max Value Supermarket. There's cafe' in the moring and bar in the evening. You can check their IG to see how cool the place is.
I have stayed this hotel several times, but this time I got upgraded to double room and it was sooo nice. Very clean and comfortable. Facilities and amenities were fantastic. This hotel is my choice of stay when I go Sapporo. It’s few min walk to centre of city. Staff are great and they have English specking staff. Especially the staff from india sorry I forgot his name is always looking after us. Thank you a lot. Will see you again soon.
Super nice and very clean accommodations. Great location in Sapporo. Parking lot across from the hotel and many other lots close by. Lots of restaurants, Lawson’s, shops. The room was perfect for our family of 5! A king bed and a Tatami area for the kids futon beds plus a family room area, kitchenette and awesome bathroom! Great customer service as well. It’s about 50 mins from the New Chitose airport.
- Hotel is walking distance from Sapporo Station, Sapporo Tv Tower, Odori Park. It's a great area. - Room I took the small one (with a normal double bed) and it was very confortable the room's size. - Breakfast is really good, there is a lot of options, specially the japanese style, but also there is a lot of options for the american style
Everything about the hotel, very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower, spacious, quiet, fascinating city view, very near to subway station (Nakajimakoen) and the park, lawson is just next door:). The staff are very friendly and polite. If we come back to Sapporo we'll stay here again. Thank you Ibis Style for the great experience.
The location is very convenient. I walked around the area and can easily see the landmarks of Sapporo. If you are into walking, the hotel is very near Sapporo station, just approximately 20 minutes by walk. I like their breakfast! And it is very convenient to wash the clothes because they have laundry area.
Very classic business hotel, not the best Japanese experience, but really comfortable after a 1-week road trip in Hokkaido. The room was clean and very nice, with nice lightnings. The location was perfect, next to the station and Odori park, in the heart of Sapporo. Lots of good restaurants around.
Location is quite central, in front of Odori Park within walking distance to Sapporo Station, the fish market & TV Tower. The bus stop for bus 27 to the airport is just under 10mins walk away across the park.
Room was very nice, comfortable and clean. Staff very polite and helpful. Great location, close to station and great shopping centers. I would definitely recommend Hotel Mystays Sapporo Aspen.
Sapporo
The location was across the road from a subway, so this made it easy to travel around Sapporo. The rooms were very clean, quiet, and most importantly well heated. I would stay here again.
Nice view as the hotel is situated across the street from the Nakajima park. Room was cleaned. The hotel is just less than 5 mins walk to Horohibarashi train station (Namboku line).
Except the distance from Sapporo Station, everything was great. I liked grand triple room (41sq meter) and big windows. Also hot spring is very good.
Awesome staff, very close to Sapporo station. convenience store across the street and rental cars 2 blocks away. Breakfast was just so-so.
The hotel is at the heart of Sapporo. All of the tourist spots are in walking distance. Very convenient.
They did very good job! If you need one hotel in Sapporo don't hesitate to choose this one.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location inbetween the sapporo station and Odori park. Room was big and the bed was comfortable. Would defiantly stay here again.
Breakfast was for suitable for asian and western people. Location wise not bad at all
