Hotel Classe Stay Sapporo, The Base Sapporo Susukino, and Tokyu Stay Sapporo Odori are some of the popular hotels in Sapporo.
Some of the best hotels in Sapporo near Sapporo Dome include 札幌ドーム前ハウス Sapporodome front house, AKKO's Guest House and Guesthouse OYADO SAPPORO.
The Base Sapporo Susukino, Royton Sapporo Hotel, and Ibis Styles Sapporo got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Sapporo.
Many families visiting Sapporo loved staying at Miidokoro House Sapporo, The Base Sapporo Susukino, and The Apartment Hotels YAMA.
I enjoyed visiting the major sights such as the T.V. Tower, the Sapporo Beer Museum, Odori Park, Shiroi Koibito Park/ Ishiya Chocolate Factory , The Museum of Modern Art and the Susukino District. There's much more to see for sure, but so little time! lol. But in my short time there I enjoyed my experience very much! Wonderful City!
Early February (Suppose to coincide with the Sapporo Snow Festival 2022 but was canceled, so made it into a regular adventure). Top 3.5 Highlights: Hill of The Buddha As a Buddhist, this was a combination of beautiful architecture and structure. All year-round, I'm sure it would not be disappointing to visit. Spring with lavenders or winter with meters of snow. Sapporo Art Park (on the way from Hill of the Buddha) Limited access due to snow with the few outdoor sculptures hidden beneath meters of snow. They did have a wonderful snow shoeing activity in the morning and early afternoon. Although, would skip this place during the wintertime for the most part. Moerenuma Park - The Glass Pyramid Art Museum Accidentally walked from the closest bus stop to the west gate instead of the closest entrance at the east gate. What should've been a 15-minute walk turned into more than an hour of trudging around the outskirts of the park. The Museum was breathtaking and beautiful. It did remind me of the Le Louvre on a much smaller scale. Cafe and Restaurant were closed at the time but overall, I still enjoyed it. Mount Moiwa The observation deck was beautiful. Must-see. The night view was better than the one in Kobe (Mt. Rokko). Food Adventure: Hokkaido Milk (Hotcakes, Latte, Ice Cream, Parfait) Snow Crab Lunch Meal Course (Way cheaper than dinnertime) Fresh Seafood and Oysters Hokkaido Beef...etc. For first-time visitors to Japan, I recommend Sapporo first. It's an all-year-round destination with much to offer outside of shopping.
The people of Sapporo and Hokkaido are not your typical Japanese people. They are kind and hospitable like most Japanese but they are much more down-to-earth in Hokkaido. I really like Sapporo, a bit cold and a lot of snow, but I love this city.
The city itself doesn't have too many interesting landmarks, but it is a good place to stay if you are planning to explore Otaru and visit Hokkaido historical village. There are lots of great restaurants and gift shops, make sure you don't miss an opportunity to try local curry soup, ramen and mutton barbeque.
Sapporo has a very comfortable feel with wide streets, open spaces and plenty of greenery. Excellent food available at reasonable prices. It's easy to get around. Otaru is only 40 mins away by train and we enjoyed a day at the Sapporo Art Centre, just 30 mins by subway and bus. Because of the State of Emergency, many restaurants were closed and those open shut early. The Genghis Khan restaurant we were recommended (Daruma) was OK, but the meal was not as delicious as the last time I had it.
There are lots of activities for families and kids, though most indoor attrations are closed on Monday. The public transportation is all reliable, clean, and easy to use without being crowded like Tokyo
The location of the hotel is fantastic, only 5 mins from Sapporo Station North-4 Exit, you can also enjoy the view of the Former Hokkaido Government Office on the way to the hotel. You can also take 10 mins by walking through Sapporo Ekimae-dori underground walkway (Chi-Ka-Ho) and Kita-1-joto (between Exit 10 & 12) underground car park connection walkway to the hotel (Exit 1) during winter. This walkway is connecting three main stations (Sapporo Station, Odori Station and Susukino Station) and the Odori Park.
I have stayed this hotel several times, but this time I got upgraded to double room and it was sooo nice. Very clean and comfortable. Facilities and amenities were fantastic. This hotel is my choice of stay when I go Sapporo. It’s few min walk to centre of city. Staff are great and they have English specking staff. Especially the staff from india sorry I forgot his name is always looking after us. Thank you a lot. Will see you again soon.
This was my 3rd stay here during the 2021/2022 ski season at the start &or end of each trip so I’m happy with this property for 1 or 2 nights each time I’m in Hokkaido. The location is great for walking all around Sapporo and we never need to use subways or taxis during the stay. The rooms & bathrooms are huge for Japan, very clean and usually cheap compared to most Sapporo hotels.
The hotel is very new, well located near Nakajima park Station, and within walking distance to Susikino area. The bathroom is of reasonable size and clean. Staff are helpful as well. We did 2 separate stays in this hotel and they allowed us to leave our bigger luggage at the hotel until our second visit. This is a huge plus in easing our traveling out of Sapporo.
Amazing hotel 20ish mins away from Sapporo station. Was worried my non-smoking room would still smell cigarettes but it didn’t smell at all. Super clean and modern, great stylish design. Staff is polite and courteous. Great Onsen on the 9th floor. Breakfast is 1800 yen (if paying separately) good variety of western and japanese foods
The front desk staff were very accommodating. And it wasn’t just that the Japanese are known to be a very polite and nice people, because even the non-Japanese personnel were equally hospitable. From the front desk, to the housekeeping, to the dining staff, everybody. The greatest strength of Royton Sapporo Hotel is its people.
The hotel is conveniently located just 8 min walk to the center of Sapporo where you can find many places to eat. The Odori park in front of the hotel provides quiet environment. There is no car park, but affiliated car parking spot is just 2 min walk and reasonably priced at 1200 yen up to 24h.
Great location for exploring Sapporo. It was close to all the hot spots in Susukino plus had easy access to the subway, which made it easy to get to areas further away from the hotel. Breakfast buffet covered the spectrum with great baked goods.
The restaurant is modern, the food is good and has good value for money. The hotel is clean, location is good 15-20 min on foot from Sapporo station.
Strategic location, walking distance to sapporo tv Tower and odori park. Free coffee is a plus to hotel especially during winter
It’s grand and it’s big and clean. Location is close to Sapporo station and the park. Very easy accessible
The hotel is at the heart of Sapporo. All of the tourist spots are in walking distance. Very convenient.
One of staff speak spanish. They were all helpful. Beautiful hotel near Odori park and Sapporo Station
The location of the hotel is great! It’s in the heart of Sapporo and near a lot of great places.
Good location near to Sapporo station, with family mart across the road.
