SlovakiaHonestly, we liked everything about this one! Room is simple but comfortable. Be prepared to sleep on futons. Bathroom and shower was shared, but clean. There is a big communal area with chairs, tables, couches.. The kitchen is great and very well equipped. But the main star of the show is the owner! He speaks zero english but that does not stop him :D We have communicated via google translate - and we communicated a lot :D He was very friendly and actually attentive to our requests - we mistakenly booked a wrong room and he agreed to change it free of charge, also he told us many good palces to visit around the island. Do not hesitate to ask him anything.

The outcropping is beautiful and really does look like an...
The outcropping is beautiful and really does look like an elephant. It was very windy of course, but the views were spectacular. There is a small shrine on the path down if you take a left at the fork in the path. The shops indoors were nice, and there was a section where they take photos for you inside that are available to you immediately after.

Uruma is country side , plenty of nature and Ishikawa where yokohouse's location is not luxurious money rich places but rich heart and very convenient whereever you want to go and economic to shopping.

Like all cities in Okinawa the brutalism design of all...
Like all cities in Okinawa the brutalism design of all houses is due to the fact that typhoons hit this islands every year. Sometimes several times a month. Therefore, cities have this strange feeling of being empty of activities, life. But it is not the case. As a matter of fact I would advise to make sure that your holidays don't fall during japanese holidays as it would be a real challenge to find a place to eat, a hotel or even enjoy activities like diving without being surrounded with crowds of people. That said, having a car is essential and driving around Okinawa was a real pleasure.
