The location on the river bank, the friendly staff and most of all our driver and safari guide Eric would could not do more to ensure we saw as many animals as possible
The Fig Tree Camp – Maasai Mara is located amid the Maasai Mara National Park, on the banks of the Talek River. It features accommodations with private bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a restaurant. Set in Talek, 1.1 mi from Hippo Pool Viewpoint, Azure Mara Haven offers accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. I had a safari booked through Karibu safaris and it was amazing. I had one full day, an afternoon and a morning game drive. Even though I went during low season (December), I got to see everything I hade hoped for and more! But be prepared for bumpy road for ca 70 km when going there. The road is horrible
We saw the big 5!!! Probably the only park in Kenya that you have biggest chance to see that. Also grassy savannahs so easy to see all the animals close. Definitely recommend to a first time Kenya visitor. Your trip is not yet complete until you have been. Also visited a Masai village. Different and interesting culture. I learnt lots of new things.
