We were a family of four booked for superior double room but surprisingly upgraded for suites. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff were polite and always helpful whenever you needed them. The in-house restaurant welcomes you any time. The buffet breakfast was sufficient for any morning hunger although not too many varieties. The restaurant staff was too kind to serve you, not to mention Ms.Ivy who used to go out of way for anything needed. The hotel has very good vehicles for conveyance but surprisingly didn't mention that in their information. We booked their van for going to the other cities and proceeding to the airport which was as good as an aeroplane interiors. Overall, our stay at Sapphire was memorable.

The resort is relatively close to the airport, so we got there quickly. Check-in was smooth, and all our prior special requests were in place. The rooms were clean and spacious with a panaromic view of the ocean and water park. Our children were well catered for, and the themed dinners were a plus. Overall, a great family-friendly atmosphere.

The ambience is great! The food options are great, we had the all inclusive package, and the staff members are supportive. The cleaning of the rooms is well done and the hotel is well fumigated such that you do not really encounter lots of mosquitoes. The hotel also has entertainment.

We only had one afternoon, during which we visited the fortress (Fort Jesus) and the old town with a tour guide. The tour guide is definitely necessary, because the old town is difficult to explore on your own and can even be dangerous in some places.

The people were friendly and welcoming. Mombasa is generally safe for travellers. Most roads are too narrow without proper provision for pedestrians, so one has to be conscious of moving vehicles. There are a lot of beaches for tourists.

The residents of Mombasa are very friendly and welcoming to tourists. Of course, there are vendors on the beach offering all sorts of goods, but a polite refusal is almost always accepted. You'll find everything you need in the supermarkets. If you're planning a longer stay, get a Safaricom SIM card with an M-Pesa account. It makes shopping even easier.

Mombasa has a number of attractions to visit; a number of beaches to pick from (private or public) per your budget; friendly people; easy to move around (ride-ailing, public transportation); its a beach city, so prepare to the high humidity!

The people and their culture. Very friendly community. Their traditional Madafu drink from the coconut calms the body system, their traditional food roasted and deep fried cassava was mouth watering. Easy to get from the beach to the street vendors. It’s Holiday time, Mombasa is the place to be.

Absolutely loved the really warm sea, clean beaches which were never overcrowded with safe places to leave ones things. Wild Water was great fun with no long queues for the slides and tubes, Fort Jesus was really interesting and a great look back into the history of the place. Very easy to get around with vans, taxis and tuk-tuks, not sure I would want to drive myself, very hectic. Mombasa has two distinct sides, the modern shopping malls and the traditional side of Kenya with it's little street shops and stalls with I love. I would defiantly recommend as a visit and already looking forward to my next trip.

Great view, friendly staff, excellent room service and a nice variety of local cuisine at the buffet. It's in the perfect location being almost exactly in the middle of the Mombasa island and Haller Park. Highly recommended if you're wanting to visit places in Mombasa, but if you're looking for a resort hotel then Nyali Beach probably isn't the best choice. 10/10 and I will most certainly be staying here again!

The staff at Severin are amazing and helpful. The GM (Mr Tuva) always goes beyond expectations to ensure all guests get the best services, care and hospitality. I would recommand this hotel to anyone looking for an excellent experience at the Coast of Kenya, the food, the rooms and the facilities are the best.

Great value for money in a central location of Mombasa Old Town, perfect for exploring the city after few days at the beach. We stayed in a private room and had a really nice balcony with an amazing view. Room was small but big enough for a short stay. Bathrooms are all shared but always were spotless clean.

The Leinmach House helped us to find a backup accommodation, as we were duped by another Mombasa guesthouse. A staff is very friendly. The location is very good, close to the best Mombasa beach and not far away from the Old Town. There is also very nice Italian restaurant in the area.
