It's a little bit different to other hostels I've been to. I stayed together with the family which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately I couldn't open the window in my room and the blanket was very heavy, so for me it was much too warm. There were two couples I met who stayed in different, very luxury buildings. So there're quite some options. The people here are very kind and helpful and one can experience how life is here in the village. I got some very yummy, vegan dinner cooked the second evening. The view from the yard to the mountains and lake is fantastic.

From the 5-star (is there such a thing as 10-star?) cooking to the comfortable bends and cozy atmosphere of family life, Macedon's house is just the place to be. I would travel to Kyrgyzstan again just to visit them. You will be so happy you stayed here. The only thing to be careful of: you may end up leaving a few kilos heavier because you won't ever want to stop eating.

Free breakfast was included, which I found fantastic! Best thing about it was definitely the staff and the lady who runs the property. I had lost my passport the day I arrived, and without hesitating she spent the bulk of the evening doing everything she could to track it down, which we eventually did. She helped me when I wanted to get to the waterfalls, the canyon and then to Bishkek, and I would have really struggled without her advice. The location is also stunning, tucked away from the noise of the road and the town, and with a gorgeous view over Issy-Kul and to the mountains beyond.

The host family were great! The mum was very welcoming and she made tea for us instantly as it was very cold outside. She also offered us freshly made bread and home-made raspberry jam which was delicious. The dorm room was already made up, very clean and comfortable. The whole place just had a very nice, family vibe to it. In the morning she made us Aromo (Kyrgyz dumplings) and more bread and tea. We felt really lucky! Her two kids were so cute too.

Great location. Right on the highway facing the Issyk-Kul Lake. The property is privately owned. Gives impression like a good 3 star hotel. Rooms very spacious. Washroom is huge with nice hot water all the time. Ample Parking spaces available within the facility. The hotel has a big courtyard where we cooked food. The Café, it has makes some wonderful salads & coffee (paid). The fare is very economical. I was wondering why its so low. Memorable stay.

It was clean, comfortable, the breakfast was amazing and the dinner for an additional payment was also really good. The owners were also very nice. The beach is just a few meters away.
