This was the best hotel for my business trip to Daejeon. Personally, the three most important things to consider in a hotel are the size of the bed, the cleanliness of the bathroom, and the friendliness of the check-in staff. This hotel satisfied all of these factors, making for a perfect stay. I'm grateful, and I plan to visit again on my next trip to Daejeon. The take-out breakfast was even more appealing to me, as I had to start my day early.

FAQs about hotels in Daejeon

I could have stayed another day.

I could have stayed another day. I’m a Hanwha Eagles baseball fan. That team has their stadium in Daejeon. The KAIST area was very nice. The Arboretum area was also great. There are a few historic sites but I had more fun at the market and shopping areas interacting with locals. There are several great bakeries there. Daejeon is the heart of bakeries and important to the pastry history of Korea. The Korean team won a world championship in France and the leader trained in Daejeon plus has a bakery there. Definitely worth trying the food.

Daejeon has been turned in the science capital

Daejeon has been turned in the science capital of Korea some decades ago. The town roughly consists of its old (but now increasingly modernized) southern core (close to the train station) and the northern outgrowth, where science institutes are spacey located on the surrounding hills, mixed with newer apartment complexes. It does not have the historical boost of places like Gyeongju, but there are enough parks and recreation facilities to enjoy in particular a slightly longer work-related stay. It is also centrally located and well-connected (train stn, 3 bus terminals) -- and devoid of the nerve-wrecking hectics of Seoul. And yet it also has its own small charmful corners.

We live in the country near Daejeon, so it was nice to spend the night in a big city. Korean food is very basic and cheap, there is not one restaurant that serves wine with their food in Geumsan where we live. Korean people are only interested in eating Korean food, so finding an international style restaurant in Korea is very difficult. So if you want to enjoy a Western-style meal, you have to cook it yourself at home. Luckily we were able to enjoy some Western-style restaurants during our stay.

I loved Daejeon even though I know it is not the favourite of Korean people. The food, the facilities, cleanliness, nature in the Hanbat Arboretum, visit to famous bakery Sang SimDang, even Daiso nearby, made for a lovely weekend trip. Even walking along the public Yuseong-gu clay paths was a neat experience. Of course Mega Coffee and Emart in Seo-gu was not to be missed! I picked up a very yummy mango-coconut snack!

Greatly enjoyed a short stay in Daejeon.

Greatly enjoyed a short stay in Daejeon. Explored the market west of the train station. Wandered the streets to the east of the station, with quirky cafes and at least one phenomenal Thai restaurant. Spent one night at the lovely Hotel Interciti, across from and overlooking, the Yuseon Foot Baths. Could easily have spent another 2-3 nights here, and wished I could have visited the art museum.

Daejeon was a very nice city and a person could do a lot of great shopping there if that’s their interest. I went to the Yousong Spa and had a great experience. There are quite a few sites just beyond the outskirts of the city too. The bus system was very easy to navigate as well. Mine was a January/winter trip so I didn’t get to see all the city has to offer. It is worth a return trip though.

Firstly, the staff here don’t speak English so be aware of that before booking. However they were incredibly helpful and kind. This has a great location for shopping and having fun. The underground parking is also really easy to park in and clean. The beds here are not rock hard, unlike most Korean hotels, and although the finishings were looking slightly worn, the rooms we booked were spacious and nicely decorated.

Very neat and location very near to Daejeon Skyroad. As I was here to watch the Korean’s volleyball league and supporting my favourite team Red Sparks/Jung Kwang Jang, I can just simply walk to the Chungmu gymnasium from the guesthouse

The hotel is in the centre of the tourist area of Daejeon. Nearby are shops, restaurants and, most importantly, thermal springs. The rooms are not very big but for a short stay it is ok.
