First of all, as an architect, this hotel I chose because of its design, was even more beautiful than its photos. Both the common areas and the rooms are designed with great care. The way the design seamlessly integrates the favorable climate with the outdoor spaces makes this place, in my opinion, a true masterpiece. It has few rooms, and the shared living-kitchen area makes us feel right at home while still offering the luxury of a boutique hotel. Located on a hill with a stunning view, the property offered a relaxing atmosphere to unwind during the occasional monsoon downpours, and since we had a rental motorcycle, we had no trouble in easy access. Additionally, dear Anitha—who is now a friend of mine—made our stay exceptionally warm and welcoming. Together with our chef, Hashani, they made us feel very special with their wonderful breakfasts and meals, setting up private tables just for us, which meant a lot to us. Anitha helped us with everything; with her pleasant conversation, the local insights she shared, and the ongoing dialogue we still maintain, she has become a friend I definitely want to see again. We spent our last two days in Sri Lanka here and headed home feeling rested and rejuvenated. Galle was a beautiful old town, after traveling around going to back to rest in our home was perfect. On the way back, we also enjoyed a peaceful ride to Colombo thanks to the pleasant conversation of our official driver, Anuka. We will definitely and absolutely, though we don’t know exactly when but; come back here with our friends again.
