We stayed at Royal Mountain Edge from September 13th to 14th, booking a double room. Our experience was truly remarkable. During our short stay, we joined the Kotagaga Waterfall hike, took part in the Garden-to-Kitchen experience, relaxed by the beautiful infinity pool, enjoyed a cozy BBQ night, and ended with a delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. The accommodation is comfortable, though quite basic — but honestly, that’s all you need to connect with the beauty of nature. All essential facilities are available: Wi-Fi, electricity, and hot water. The simplicity of the stay only makes the surrounding mountains feel even more special. If you’re looking for a place where you can slow down, breathe fresh air, and be close to nature, this is the perfect escape. Footnote: Remember to bring cash for your extra expenses.

We thoroughly enjoyed the unique accommodations. The food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. If you want to wake up to the serene beauty of Knuckles mountain in comfort, this is the experience for you!

The Rohana Estate is located in a beautiful area with amazing forests and mountains. There is a peak with 360° view on the surroundings. The view from our room was unforgettable. Rohana is a great host and advised us about the nearby attractions. The Sri Lankan meals cooked on site were delicious, we got even breakfast to-go when we went hiking prepared exactly the way we liked it. We felt very well taken care of. I had travelled to a few different places in Sri Lanka and several other countries and I can honestly say that the stay at Rohana's place was one from the top best. For nature lovers this is a perfect choice.

Beautiful and serene location, perfect to disconnect and recharge. I was traveling with my husband and we live in a big city so it was a perfect escape for both of us. We enjoyed yoga, nature walk which is included in the room rate. The food was absolutely outstanding, including taste and plate presentation. Every staff member is exceptional. We travel a lot and have stayed in many 5* properties but this was one of our favorite ones.

The location is fantastic, offering amazing views. The manageress Thiloka and staff are extremely helpful, professional, and service-oriented, always making the place feel warm and welcoming. The food was also quite delicious and well presented.

To put it simply this is probably the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka. The view is magical, the staff is welcoming and so helpful and the food is delicious. The owner, Supun, will take you around visiting the highlights of the area. He's a friendly and knowledgeable person that is always there to help. Highly highly recommended! You will regret leaving!
