We enjoyed our stay so much. The quietness, the nature, the view on the mountain from balcony. Super nice staff. We walked from hotel 2 km to sinharaya rainforest unesco heritage entrance. We were mesmerized by the nature in the rainforest and the surrounding. The hotel is a Super place.

This wasn't our first stay, so we obviouly like this place. The manager Anand couldn't have been kinder. He looked after us like super VIPs. He was everywhere making sure that we were fine. A big thank you to him. We forgot a swim suit and he offered to send it by courier service to our next hotel, which he did. The hotel itself is small and not for everyone. The rooms needs a complete rework - they don't do this place justice. They are in a poor state. But the location is incredible and I hope, this will never change - please never cut ANY of the trees! This is the biggest asset- the jungle and all its noises, the beautiful light filtering through the canopy.

We were upgraded to Jansens Bungalow, which is 200m from the Anex. The setting is fab, the staff go above and beyond expectations. Food good with a lovely complimentary soup to start

There should be 11 on a mark scale for this place. Absolutely amazing experience starting with an off road adventure just to get to place. There is nothing in a nearby area, very calm and close to nature with breathtaking view. Staff is also very helpful and cooks great. Best place that we stayed in so far.

Very happy with our stay here. This is a family-run lodge so it's not super fancy, but the hosts make you feel so welcome especially by cooking so so many dishes for breakfast and dinner. Easily the best home cooking I've had in Sri Lanka. The hosts are super nice, and the room has an amazing view on the river edge (as per the name), and you can swim in the river, which is nice. It is a close walk to Doranella entrance and the location is secluded from the main roads and village so it's great if you're looking for more privacy.

The staff was exceptional! The location was unreal. Access was a bit struggle but the staff assisted as much as possible. Owners may consider providing a ATV (if possible)

Umesha and Saman are incredible hosts. Umesha is the heart and soul, cooks the best dinner and breakfast and makes sure everyone is happy, while Saman offers the best tours in (and around) the rainforest. We had the big room (with AC) and it was just perfect. Absolutely clean (and with not one insect inside, although surrounded by nature), with two comfy beds, a kettle, a large bathroom and amazing view from the big windows and the terrace. We stayed 3 nights and could definitely have stayed longer :-)
