Located within Ts’ehlanyane National Park in northern Lesotho, Maliba Mountain Lodge is set in pristine high altitude, boasting scenic mountain vistas. The location is just surreal, being born and raised in Switzerland I'm used to mountains, but this is something else! The private lodges are amazing and very spacious for two with a private terrace to enjoy the breathtaking views. The staff were excellent.
Featuring a garden, terrace and views of garden, Oranje Guest Farm is located in Fouriesburg, 11 miles from Meiringskloofspruit Dam. Oranje guest farm offers a serene retreat in the beautiful Eastern Free State. We were treated to scrumptious lamb stew in the mid winter. The room was very comfortable with everything available for an unforgettable stay. Thanks Oranje!
Old Mill Drift Mountain Resort provides accommodations with a garden and free WiFi. There is also a kitchen in some of the units equipped with an oven and microwave. The lodge offers a terrace. The surroundings beautiful, the location of our room ... HORRIFIC! I do not exactly know how to begin to describe our utter disgust in the room we got on Friday, 22 February 2019, after we drove a long way, tired, yet highly excited about the weekend ahead. I’m emailing you this, because this is the review I will be posting on bookings.com … people need to know, for no one should experience the horror we found when your security guard opened the door. Here is my list, starting with the safety issues first: 1. This room is at the back end of the stables, which in principle, is not an issue … but, the fact that it is also your waste dump for old satellite dishes and other waste, makes it disgusting, for it is “our’ room’s entrance; huge safety hazard 2. The outside light at the door … DOES NOT WORK … yet, it is pitch black and there is no way a person who does not know their way around, will see steps or any other obstacles. 3. The table on which the 2-plate stove and the toaster are placed, broken, and we hurt ourselves (fingers stuck between the table frame and the table top when we wanted to put it back) 4. The shower … once we got through the whole ritual to get warm water, we could not close the taps, FOR YOU GET A LITTLE SHOCK WHEN YOU TOUCH THEM 5. Drinking water … this is a basic human need and human right, which you are suppose to supply … there was no indication whether the water from the tap was safe for human consumption … where were we suppose to get drinking water? 6. I did not see any fire extinguisher … did I miss it? 7. Condition of the front door, which is also the only door … no escape in case of a fire (see photo) 8. DB-board … scary (see photo attached) 9. Electrical switches not covered … how is this possible?
