The resort far exceeded all expectations. Our group booked one of the cabins and we were blown away by the amenities, onsite restaurant and spa. The grounds were quiet, clean and everything was easily accessible. The spa was a fantastic way to finish our trip, very relaxing. The beds were comfy and the cabins quite spacious. The only downside was not being able to stay longer!

I really appreciated the fact, that the owners chose quality and it can be seen everywhere. Even in the little things, like the air freshener smelling really nice, or the toilet paper holder being high quality. Alll the furniture, the utensils, the electronics were beautiful and high quality and a pleasure to use. The best thing ever was this patio furniture hammock/bed thing that we found outside, it was so comfortable to lay in and we got to enjoy the view of the pond and various species of birds swimming in it while drinking our morning coffee. We got a bit lost on our way there, but the owner was helpful in sorting that out. Lake Plateliai is a short walk away, so you'll have plenty of things to do while staying here.

We regularly visit Platelia (10 - 15 times a year) as our boat is moored there and usually stay at the yacht club by the marina on the lake shore, adjacent to the bar/- restaurant (great simple food served, unpretentious and very reasonably priced). Pleasant village in the "nature reserve" with many water based facilities (even a dive centre), numerous restaurants and bars around the lake, great bicycle and walking paths, camping areas, motels/- hotels, cabins, etc.

The town is quiet, the downside is that the roads are...

The town is quiet, the downside is that the roads are terrible to get to. The more I visited, the more terrible the streets are, patch by patch, the sharp edges can even puncture a tire. Even smaller towns are better organized. It's neat by the water body. It's nice that there is a place to pitch a tent. There are few places to eat in the town.

Plateliai is very rich in its nature and cultural heritage.

Plateliai is very rich in its nature and cultural heritage. It is also the capital of Lithuanian Mardi Gras. We recommend walking along the Šeirė cognitive trail, visiting the Žemaitija National Park Directorate visitor center and the Mardi Gras Museum, and the Cold War Museum. We visited in winter, so there were no places to eat, the prices at "Le Le Terasa" significantly outweighed the quality.

A beautiful spot – right on the lake – perfect for an...

A beautiful spot – right on the lake – perfect for an extended stay. Plenty of opportunities for water sports, hiking, cycling, and fishing. Each cottage on the property has its own terrace and barbecue, and some even have a sauna and/or swimming pond. The friendly family offers a warm welcome!

A beautiful lake with clean water. Pure relaxation!

A beautiful lake with clean water. Pure relaxation! A visit to the nearby Cold War Museum is highly recommended. During the Cold War, the Soviets stationed four nuclear missiles there, targeting Western Europe. The underground museum is informative and leaves a sobering impression in light of the current political situation.

The landscape of the area is beautiful.

The landscape of the area is beautiful. The town is not impressive, but there are entertainment options by the lake. There are many natural, historical and entertainment attractions in the area. Bicycle rental works well. I rarely used public catering. There are several eateries and grocery stores, but the assortment is limited. Public catering is a weak point.
