The owner is a very courteous lady who showed us the two available rooms and we choice the larger one being more comfortable and overlooking the garden.everything is clean and the room is spacious - so good to relax after our long drive! And we had dinner at the hotel and our meal was perfectly served and equivalent to a Michelin star restaurant!

A lot of people staying here seem to have some sort of mean plan. We did not, we chose from the menu and the (German) food was pretty good, we had a meat and a vegetarian option. We had some German beers and wines after dinner and stayed in a room that was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent.

A true hospitality feeling. For any hiking or motorcycle trip you make, I would keep this almost a secret

Very good location! Very good service, nice people! Delicious food! we had two evening dinners in the hotel. It is in the center of Mullerthal Trail, it is quite convenient to the walking routes. we walked E1 from Berdorf to Echternach, very exciting and we took bus for free from Echtenach back to hotel. The next day we drove to Schiessentumpel waterfall. It is quite near from the hotel (9.3km). Beautiful scenery!

This hotel is excellent. The room was spacious and clean. It is also air conditioned if you happen to be there during a heatwave like we were. The spacious bathroom is also equipped with handrails and a shower chair in case people need them. I definitely recommend.

Wonderfully friendly staff Traditional hotel, Clean rooms, comfy beds Fabulous showers...... Best BREAKFAST ever..... Wish I lived close enough, I'd come for breakfast regularly.... We will certainly return .....xx

The spa facilities and the outdoor swimming pool, and gym, were outstanding. What a setting too!

it's a family owned hotel; I had the pleasure of meeting 3 generations. The moment I stepped in I felt somewhat ' at home": lots of original furniture. There is a dining room, an indoor terras, a bar (smoking allowed !) An outdoor lush garden. The room (2 p) and ensuite bathroom was spacious with watercooker etc as advertised. I was baffled with breakfast: an overwhelming choice of bread, sweets, fruit and plenty excellent coffee. Indoor parking is a nice touch as well. They speak french, german, english and even a bit dutch (in that order: so I hope Dutch people will show some courtesy by trying any other language except there own :-) !) Berdorf itself has nothing much to offer; but excellent located from hiking trails within a perimeter of 5 - 10 km. Busses are free but I stuck to my car since I wanted to do/see a lot.

Staff were very helpful and accommodating! Amazing experience living in an old castle that has kept its original identity and vibe.

Great location. Excellent Breakfast restaurant was available. and other option near by. Great for a Motorbike stay if traveling in Germany. Secure garage available

We are visiting from Australia and highly recommend Waldhotel to all travellers. The facilities are exceptional with comfort cleanliness a priority. The staff all spoke English and were focused on our experience being of utmost importance. Hopefully we can return again. Thank you
