This place looked exactly like the kind of old castle you’d picture when thinking of a European countryside getaway, but inside it was spotless and so cozy — absolutely perfect. Every single staff member we met was genuinely kind, and even before check-in they responded to my emails quickly and warmly. We had dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel, and the terrace was beautiful with such a lovely atmosphere. The food? Simply excellent. If I ever come back to this area, I’d definitely stay here again. The breakfast buffet wasn’t huge, but it had everything we needed and everything tasted great. The location was fantastic as well — just a five-minute walk to the train station, a beautiful park, and a great playground that kids will absolutely love. Plus, all the main sights of Sigulda were within walking distance. I’d highly recommend this place to any traveler!

We were just two people, but we booked a large room for four and it was definitely worth it. The two-room suite is located in a separate building on the second floor, above a tavern that was closed for renovation. This turned out to be a great bonus – no noise, and we had almost the entire building to ourselves since the only things in it were our suite and the closed tavern. The private entrance provided complete seclusion and plenty of space. But the real highlight of this room was the view from the window. The Sigulda hills and the Gauja River were absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed watching the sunset colors, the mist enveloping everything, and then another beautiful sunset from the bay window. Of course, the room was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable double bed in one room and two single beds in the other. We will definitely stay here again next time!
