    Avalon Hotel & Conferences

    Riga Old Town, Rīga

The 4-star Avalon Hotel & Conferences is located in Riga’s Old Town, only 500 metres from the Opera House and Freedom Monument. Excellent all over. Should firstly mention the friendly staff always with a smile on their faces, wifi one of the best we ever used abroad. We had a two year old child and found a potty waiting for him in the bathroom, cleanness could not be better. We were staying half board. Breakfast was abundant and the evening meals although choices made by the chef we were surprised with the excellent presentation, quality and just right after a day out. Location right in the center and close to all transportation. Looking forward to visiting again.

Stunning Blend of Old and New

Situated on the Gulf of Riga, at the mouth of the River Daugava, Riga is a major cultural city with stunning architecture, large parks and fascinating traditions.

The Old Town in Riga is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, popular for its Art Nouveau and 19th-century wooden architecture. St. Peter’s Church is one of the oldest medieval Gothic churches in the Baltic states, offering breathtaking views over the city.

Enjoy a romantic walk in the historic cobbled streets and head to the colourful Central Market where you can taste local specialities. Most of the local cuisine consists of pork, potatoes and sausage, while beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage.

Each year the capital of Latvia hosts a variety of international exhibitions and scientific conferences, and Riga’s Creative Quarters house art and fashion shops that give you an insight into the spirit of local life.

Explore everything this exciting city has to offer from your hotel, apartment or hostel booked through as a base. The city is served by Riga International Airport, the largest airport in the Baltic states.
