Amazing city!

Amazing city! Quiet affordable restaurants, you will need to book in advance if you have to try a nice one as they get full pretty fast. People are very friendly. Tours are very interesting. The museum of occupation, a free walking tour to oldtown and the Art Nouveu tour are a must.

Riga is definitely worth visiting.

Riga is definitely worth visiting. The Old Town is stunning with its beautiful buildings and architecture. There is a good selection of museums, though some could be a bit cheaper. The main attractions are within walking distance, but if you want to save time, the public transport is highly efficient – and the drivers are very friendly. The city is clean and the locals are welcoming. You can see national flags on buildings everywhere. Also, the Military History Museum is free to enter. The Daugava River is enchanting. The famous Central Market (Rīgas Centrāltirgus) is well worth a visit – the fish pavilion is especially impressive, and it's a great place to get cheap food and draft beer poured into bottles.

Riga is a beautiful historic city.

Riga is a beautiful historic city. I would highly recommend the walking tour of the old town - the guides are very knowledgeable and passionate about Riga. There are many restaurants and bars in the centre.

I liked the art nouveau quarter.

I liked the art nouveau quarter. I also liked the range of interesting things to do and the city vibe. The sciences academy viewing tower was great and I chanced upon a market and a military event in the park. Activities on the river will have to wait for another visit.

Riga is a beautiful, clean and charming city, and I really enjoyed that it wasn’t overly crowded with tourists. It was lovely to explore the city at a relaxed pace and enjoy its architecture and atmosphere. I also loved the beautiful seaside towns around Riga. They were peaceful and incredibly beautiful, and I had some moments there when I felt a real sense of harmony and tranquillity. The only downside for us was that we found people to be somewhat reserved and not particularly warm or friendly. I’m from Mexico and my husband is Irish, so we come from cultures where people tend to be more open, warm and friendly in everyday interactions. Of course, every culture is different, and this is simply our personal experience.

The old city where we stayed is full of history.

The old city where we stayed is full of history. The Riga Central Market is a must visit. Lots of eateries, interesting museums. Plenty to do at all hours. A visit to Jurmala on the Baltic is only a half hour train trip from Riga Central and makes an enjoyable outing. Historic canal boat tour is worth doing to obtain a different view of Riga.

The location was great, near the old town but there was also the central market place and Origo shopping center near. Getting around was easy, since the central train station was near and a public transportation bus from the airport got you just 5 min walk away from the hotel. The staff was helpful and enabled an early check-in although it’s the high season. The ability to have breakfast at the outside terrace was a plus.

Superb central location, right between river and the old town of Riga. Modern and stylish hotel with great facilities and tasty restaurant. Room has great decor and comfortable beds. The staff was very helpful with arranging taxi to the airport. Location couldn’t be better in my opinion, just short 3-5 minutes walk and you in beautiful old town.
