Very cosy hotel with wonderful staff. The location was perfect, on a quiet street, a short walk through a beautiful park to downtown. the Snob bar is a must before/after dinner visit. Breakfast was far beyond any expectations.

The room was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable and though the hotel was located on a main street, there was no noise. We had a room on the front side of the hotel and the views were spectacular. The bathroom floor was heated and what a comfort and pleasure it was during a November stay. The housekeeping was excellent and the rooms were kept clean. The kitchenette is basic and okay for maybe heating something but doesn't really serve well for cooking a full meal. The cupboards are spacious and the seating area in the room was also ample.

Great location, just 5 minute walk to the center of old town. Parking available at the hotel for euro 20 though limited spaces. Our room faced the street with the tram lines. Sound proofing was good and street noice didn't bother us.

How five star hotels should be, in my opinion. Everything about this, one night stay, were perfect. The welcome when you walk in, the brevity of the check-in and the, approx, 10 minutes that took me to be in my room after arriving. Room service was also great as was the night manager who checked me out at 5:15AM.

Lot's of things to see in Riga.

Lot's of things to see in Riga. The old city alone can keep you occupied for a whole day. Many restaurants of all kinds and different prices. For good unpretentious food, visit Lido (several locations) or Zviedru Vārti. The Museum of Occupation is a must to understand the history of Latvia. You can travel to the Open Air Museum on the outskirts on a trolley bus. This features traditional villages in a forest settings, near Jugla Lake.

At least old town feels really safe, I cam back from...

At least old town feels really safe, I cam back from worndersala to Victoria hotel 45 mins walk, and plus few minutes went to 24 hours working store at about 1 AM. Also city very clean. At least the areas I walked in. Saw few grafittis but no trash on the ground. Really yea maybe should move more outside of center to see real situation but I expect it is much better than Berlin.

I really enjoyed my time in Riga.

I really enjoyed my time in Riga. It was a perfect city for my first solo trip: calm, beautiful, well-organized and easy to explore. The Old Town has a great atmosphere, with nice restaurants, lots of history, and good public transport. I was also satisfied with the value for money, and the locals seemed kind and respectful. Another big plus is that the seaside in Jūrmala is easily reachable by train, which makes a great half-day or full-day trip.

Many comfortably located malls and restaurants where you can have a meal at any time during a day. Beautiful architecture. Cosy quiet quarters with double-stored buildings. Great location at the centre of the country and can be used as a base point for travelling in different directions.

Stay in the old town.

Stay in the old town. Go on a guided tour to give an understanding of Riga history . Look up at the buildings so many have hidden details often with a story. Eat local food and visit the food and flower markets. Walk walk and walk

Nice hotel, very easy to get to on 22 bus from airport and a few minutes from Central train station to Jurmala beach. Everyplace in Old Town is no more than a 15 minute walk. Rooms were clean and well appointed, staff very friendly. Breakfast was nice with continental and scrambled egg, bacon and chicken sausages more a kin to hotdog. All in all I would recommend and I would not hesitate to stay again if I return to Riga, which I hope I do.

stayed at this hotel in the very heart of Riga’s old town, and it was absolutely wonderful. The building was beautifully renovated, with a fantastic design and bright, vibrant colors. Everything was top-notch: a professional staff who helped with everything, a quick early check-in, and a fantastic breakfast. The spa and pool were also amazing. I am very grateful and would highly recommend this hotel.

Good location, spacious, clean bedroom, obliging staff, good and varied breakfast. Within walking distance of the rail and coach stations and the Old Town. The on site restaurant/bar was also very good. I would certainly stay again at the hotel if I come back to Riga.
