THIS place! Recently remodeled and reopened in May. This place has some interesting history. A bit from the Promenade on the beach, but an easy walk. Good location for food. The place is IMMACULATE and very well done. Good for longer stays as there is full kitchen and appliances. There are only 5 suites. The concierge was there to greet us and provided us with everything we could possibly need. Most excellent indeed.

    I honestly could say that it's the most tidiest city in Latvia I've ever been to. The infrastructure is amazing. Everything is right next to everything. A lot of stuff to do. It's beautiful (if you're not looking at the docks :D). The streets are clean and the planning for pedestrians and the overall nature of the city is amazing. There are parks around every block. You could just walk around for ages.

    Peaceful and friendly city with adorable cats everywhere. The beach is very clean and better than in Jūrmala. There is more activities to do on the beach here. Jūrmala beach is more crowded but more long and shallow. Ventsps is safe, not so crowded and nice parks for children to play in. A treasure to explore. Where are everyone?

    Very beautiful city with plenty of sculptures and places to visit. It has many parks, museums. Beach is very well structured - different places for swimmers and surfers. There is an excursion boat, excursion train. It offers 3 prepared routes in the city to see sculptures - 4km, 8km and 16km

    Ventspils is great! Good looking, well kept town.

    Ventspils is great! Good looking, well kept town. Lovely seaside park for walks (my personal favorite), sea to swim, great open-space museum with historical building, castle. Friendly to kids, there are several ships docked in the town and in the open-space museum where you can climb onboard and explore. Calm, feels totally safe. Nice places to eat.

    Ventspills is a sea-port, ferries to Sweden from here. The town is very picturesque easily walkable because of it's size. Of particular note was every open space was either or both lawned and planted with amazing floral displays, most street corners conical high and wide flowers bursting with vibrant colours. Even the middle of the roads planted with flowers, the surrounds of public housing blocks having planters and even sculptures everywhere. Early in the morning I could hear the grass mowers, see the workers attending the flower beds and even a woman, pushing a wheelie bin along the pavement and stopping occassionaly to pick up a piece of litter that had been dropped. The whole town so clean and tidy. I arrived a week after the season had ended, it was rain and sunshine, so few if any tourists. few bars or restuarants appeared to be open. Of note was the abundance of finger sighnage boards on most junctions written in Latvian and English, impossible to get lost. Directions to WCs in large letters throughout the town. The pavements and roads well cared for, I witnessed no pot-holes, cracked or broken pavements. In summary the cleanest, prettiest most well maintained place in all of Latvia.

    Nice, cosy apartment, ground flood in great location. Close to interesting landmarks such as a MEGA playground, the beach, the port and the old city, and not far from shopping center. The apartment is well equipped, especially the kitchen, with almost all you need for a 2-week stay with kids. Washing machine is certainly a PLUS ;) The area is very calm and quiet and well maintained. Parking is not a problem. I would certainly come back if I'm in Ventspils again.

    The location is excellent-just 5 mins from the pier and beach and the centre. Anni is very friendly and helpful and the house is cosy and very clean. The decoration is wonderful wit many interesting ornaments and the garden is beautifully kept with lots of interesting statues and is a great place to relax to eat something or have a dink protected from the elements. I would highly recommend Anni's house if you are visiting Ventspils.

    Very nice location in Ventspils to stay for one night and even longer. You can find here everything you need for romantic stay. Cosy bedroom with high ceilings, good shower room, tasty coffee for free, planty of cosy places to enjoy a glass of wine with a garden view. Possible to order breakfast. Can use library. Very close to the beach and city old part. Definitely recommend.

    I had an amazing stay at Romance and enjoyed the overall style and look of the room I had booked. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom and shower magnificent and I also enjoyed the little kitchen setup. The room was clean and the location gave itself well to the occasional stroll around what I now believe to be one of the prettiest towns in Latvia, Ventspīls.

    The hotel is very close to the concert hall and walking distance from all the main sightseeing locations + parking is available in the backyard. The breakfast was excellent. We didn't encounter any issues during our stay.
