GermanyTraditional Latvian coastline building with all the local details. Very charming. Good local restaurant on site with great people. Free parking is a nice bonus. But I would like to point out one point - it’s the hotel staff. These people made our stay amazing. Friendly, always willing to help and available every time you need them. We forgot some of our stuff in the room once we left, they immediately reached out to us by phone so we were able to return and they handed over everything to us. Big thanks to you ladies!

Nice, clean city ( at least the areas my family visited), a lot to see and to do, even more if weather is good. Not so crowded. Excellent beach, areas are separated for different needs (dogs, kitesurfing, etc)

Ventspils - city by the sea, which has Blue flag beach. It is not very crowded even in hot summer days. It is Baltic sea, it can be cold even in summer, it depends on the weather. But there are very nice sandy beaches. The city Ventspils - cozy city with many flowers, many parks for kids to play or just walk in the nature for anybody. Open air waterpark for kids. There is nice promenade to walk. There are some museums. It can be nice calm stay by the sea.

Ventspils is only accessible by bus from Riga, there is no passenger rail service. The town has a long history as an ice-free Hanseatic port and was a strategic port for Russia during their period of control. Boat tours of the port area are available and there are many fine walking paths along the shore and out to the lighthouse at the entry to the harbor. Many old historic wood buildings remain and there are wonderful parks scattered throughout the city. The beach is quite extensive, but exposed to the onshore winds. The town is quite spread out and renting a bike is a good option if not travelling by car. Saturday morning is the best time to enjoy the local markets, and there are a choice of restaurants to suit every taste.

Since we have been visiting for many years in a row, we have noticed that the city of Ventspils is not improving. Few catering establishments, new activities in the port. In the evening, the city seems dead.

I honestly could say that it's the most tidiest city in Latvia I've ever been to.
The infrastructure is amazing. Everything is right next to everything.
A lot of stuff to do.
It's beautiful (if you're not looking at the docks :D).
The streets are clean and the planning for pedestrians and the overall nature of the city is amazing.
There are parks around every block. You could just walk around for ages.

The location of the aparthotel is very convenient, and check-in was simple and smooth. The rooms are spacious, clean, and cozy, and most importantly, it was very quiet, perhaps because it was off-season and the hotel wasn’t very busy. The room had everything necessary, and everything matched the photos on the website. Special thanks to Roberts for providing detailed information about check-in, the hotel’s location, and parking.

It was great to get to stay in a traditional wooden house. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The room has character with some interesting pieces. The 'kitchen' is rather makeshift but works fine for a short stay. The location is very central and Ventspils is a delightful town.
